PROCUREMENT OFFICER EWASCO/HR/01/2014 (1 Post)-Re-advertised Reporting to the Head of Procurement, he/she will be responsible for planning and controlling all the activities in the procurement section. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Efficient procurement management in the entire company, Liaising with other user departments, procure quality and standard goods and services for full beneficial to the company and ensure implementation of the procurement manual, preparation of annual procurement plan, managing the annual supplier prequalification exercise, ensuring compliance with procurement Act 2005 and Rules among others. MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS (a) A degree in Procurement; or any other degree plus a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management from a recognized institution (b) Possess a high level of integrity and excellent problem solving and organizational skills (c) At least three (3) years working experience as a Procurement Officer in a busy organization. Preference will be given to those working in public institution (d) Must be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management(KISM) 2. TWO (2) METER READERS Ref; “EWASCO/HR/02/2014” Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Meter Reading Supervisor, he/she will be; Taking accurate and timely meter readings by use of data loggers, reporting any illegal connections detected, noticed leaks or bursts in the Water Systems & faulty meters to Management action and reporting any faulty meters to the office Minimum qualification a) KCSE D+(Plus)/KSCE certificate plus a post Certificate from a recognized institution b) Basics in Computer c) Basics Course in Meter Reading is an added advantage d) 2 yrs experience in riding a motorcycle must have a driving licence e) Work Experience; 2 years in meter reading is an added advantage 3. Two (2) Plumbers (Artisan)Ref; “EWASCO/HR/03/2014” Reporting to the Water Technician, he/she will be; Constructing Water and Sewerage Lines, repairing all sizes of bursts within the stipulated time, inspecting new water connections, servicing the consumers and master meters, carrying out the reconnection and disconnection as expected and carrying out timely meter testing and reporting the findings to the Water Technician Minimum qualification a) Government Trade Test Grade II b) 2 yrs experience in riding a motorcycle must have a driving licence c) Computer literacy is an added advantage d) Work Experience; 2 yrs in plumbing work 4. Two (2) Drivers (Ref; “EWASCO/HR/04/2014” Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Human Resource Officer, he/she will be; Driving the vehicles as authorized, Carrying out allocated errands for the company, and taking the vehicle for service on time Minimum qualification a) KCSE D+ (Plus) b) Valid Driving license B.C.E. c) Age; 35-45 years d) Certificate of good conduct. e) A Grade Test in Mechanic will be an added advantage f) Work Experience: 5 years continuous practical experience as a driver 5.
