Animal House has three certified therapy dogs that come to New Mercer Commons with their owners to visit residents. These owner- animal teams enjoy visiting seniors, bringing smiles to faces, and comforting those in need. The Animal House therapy dogs have a unique background in that most of them were rescued. Their owners trained them as therapy dogs so that they could share their love and promote giving second chances to pets without homes. If you have an interest in participating in the pet therapy program please contact the front office to be added to the list. A brief description of Animal House Recue & Grooming is provided below. Animal House Rescue and Grooming Whether they’re young or mature, big or little, the dogs at Animal House Rescue & Grooming have one thing in common: they’re looking for a second chance – at life, love, and a forever home. A distinctive and special resource within our community, Animal House aims to decrease the euthanasia rate of adoptable dogs by giving these well-deserving animals the opportunity – and most importantly, the time – to find the right home. Through community outreach and collaboration with overpopulated and underserved shelters, we’re making a difference in the lives of dogs and the humans who love them. Meetings for You!
