Town of Boothbay
The Boothbay Board of Selectmen will hold an on-site, public,
Wharves & Weirs Hearing on Thursday, November 20, 2014 for
the following:
3:00 p.m. Vincent Lathbury/Susan Seymour Map U-5 Lot 17D,
located at 13 Elbow Rd. South, East Boothbay, ME to remove
existing dock and construct a common dock consisting of a 4’ x
10’ access platform, 4’ x 12’ access stairs, 6’ x 48’ pier, and a 3’
x 40’ ramp: existing float to be used; common dock to be shared
with the right abutter (Lot 17), on Linekin Bay.
The hearing will reconvene on November 26, 2014 at the
Boothbay Board of Selectmen’s meeting at 7:00 p.m. For any

wood 6’ x 70’ pier, with 3’ x 14’ access stairs to the shore, a 3’ x
36’ ramp, and a 10’ x 20’ float, on Linekin Bay.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
SOUTHPORT INTERCONNECTION
AND
WATER TANK REPLACEMENT PROJECT
The Boothbay Region Water District will be holding a public
meeting on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Southport Town hall located at 361 Hendricks Hill Rd, Southport,
Maine to discuss, and solicit public input concerning Contract #2
recently awarded to Harry C. Crooker and Sons, 103 Lewiston
Road, Topsham, Maine.
The scope of Contract #2 encompasses the installation of a new
12 – inch year-round water main from the intersection of Route
27, McKown Point Road and Lakeside Drive in Boothbay Harbor,
continuing westerly along Route 27, crossing Townsend Gut
north of the Southport Bridge, continuing westerly on Route 27
to Plummer Road, progressing south on Plummer Road to Route
238 and then continuing south on Route 238 terminating at Cross
Road.
Representatives from the Town of Southport, the Boothbay Region
Water District and Dirigo Engineering will be present to describe
the current schedule, traffic considerations and will provide an
assessment on what Boothbay Harbor and Southport residents can
expect during this winter construction project. Interested persons
are encouraged to attend.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF WISCASSET
The Town of Wiscasset will hold a public hearing on
the following referendum question on Thursday, Nov. 20
at the Wiscasset Middle School beginning at 6 p.m.:
“Shall the School Committee of the Town of Wiscasset be
authorized to close the Wiscasset Primary School?”
The additional cost of keeping the school open has been
estimated by the School Committee to be $785,524.
The referendum question will be voted on in a Special
Town Meeting Election on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Availability of Commercial Shellfish License
The Town of Westport Island will be issuing (1) Commercial Shellfish
license for the remainder of the 2014-2015 Shellfish Season that began
on May 1, 2014. Licensing will follow the process contained in Section
5 of the Town of Westport Island Shellfish Conservation Ordinance.
The applicant for license must produce two pieces of acceptable identification showing current residence address. The Applications for all
shellfish licenses are available at the Town Office and can be obtained
from the Town Clerk during normal office hours. The Westport Island
Town Office is open from Noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays; and 9 a.m. to 2
p.m. on Thursdays. For questions, call 882-8477 ext. 3.
A Commercial Harvester License Credit program has been created to
establish priority in issuing commercial licenses. Details of this credit
program are available at the Town Office. The Fee for this Resident/
Non-Resident Commercial Shellfish License for the remainder of this
season is $150.
