Hear ye! Hear ye!
Be it known that a match has been consummated
—that the infernal machine known as Triumph TR-6
#CF20228 (also known as “The Mermaid”) has now
commenced gestation.
The mating ritual occurred on Saturday, October 24th—with preparatory
proceedings, consisting of the consumption of copious quantities of cheap
ale—at two hours after meridian—a time which was determined to be most
propitious through the augury of the High Priest of the Emails.
The ceremony commenced with the obscure and mostly unintelligible Druidic benediction for mating which loosely translates to: “Aye then lassie, do
ye come here often? Can I purchase ye a dram of mead?”
The rite proceeded through the awkward, but effective, method of lifting the
dismembered body shell and lowering it ceremoniously upon the naked
frame. All participants, of course, being blindfolded in order to preserve
modesty.
The sacrament was performed by a stout-hearted band consisting of Lord
Gordon of the Moores sided by scion Sean, Sir Curtis of the Kitts, and my
humble self, Squire William of the Weed Patch. Arriving in time to assist
with the tying down ritual was Sir Adrian of the Frys (shouldn’t that be
chips?).
The beast now lies peacefully in its lair slowly ingesting parts, time, and
money; and gathering strength for the day that it shall burst forward from
its fetid cocoon to conquer the Mountains of the Rocks and the Springs of
Glenwood under the firm hand of my sturdy son, Squire David.
