It’s Time for Some Serious Speed
NOVEMBER
2014
Do you stream videos or play video games online? Are you using multiple devices
on your Internet connection at one time? With the emergence of YouTube, Hulu,
and Netflix, streaming video has taken over the Internet. Add in smartphones,
tablets, video game consoles, and computers all under one household, and you
might get frustrated by buffering, stuttering, or poor picture quality.

updates include:
Software Flaws - Occasionally software
New Features - After an initial release,
software companies find ways to improve
their software by adding new features and
capabilities. Users also provide feedback
on how to make the software more useful
to them. To meet these demands, software
companies send updates that users can
install over the Internet to obtain the
new features.
Security - Hackers target the most widely
installed pieces of software because they
will contain flaws that cause unexpected
errors, freezing or slow operation. Updates
can contain patches to resolve these
performance issues.

My name is Alicia
Kastner and I
have been with
NU-Telecom for a
little over a year as a Sales and Support
Associate at the Springfield location. I
enjoy working at NU-Telecom because
I get the chance to be part of a great
team and I get to work with many
people within the community. When I
am not at the office, I enjoy being with
my husband Troy and my 3 beautiful
girls. We enjoy being outside camping,
four wheeling and now coming up again
this spring much of our spare time will
be spent in the field, rock picking. I am
involved in my community by being an
active member on the Retail Committee
for the City of Springfield along with
donating my time to my church and
school district.
Dan
Howard Goodhue
My name is Dan
Howard and I’m
starting my 25th
year as a Customer
Service Technician at NU-Telecom’s
Goodhue location. My favorite thing
about my job is that every day is
something new, and I get to meet the
customers face to face. My fellow
co-workers are great to work with and
keep each day interesting. When I’m
not at work, I enjoy spending time with
my wife Dianne, our daughter Sarah, and
daughter Alyssa and son-in law Nate and
the newest addition to the family – our
granddaughter Alayah. Hunting and
ice fishing are also great pastimes and
visiting the North Shore as much
as possible. I also volunteer for the city
to maintain the local ice rink, playground
and ball field.
