Thoughts from Pastor Chris
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.” (Phil 4:4-7)
During this month of Thanksgiving I encourage us to take the
Apostle Paul’s words to heart. Instead of worrying, let’s turn to the Lord
and thank Him for all of our blessings. Let’s turn to the Lord with all of
our concerns. Let’s turn to the Lord and trust that He will be with us each
and every day. As you turn to God in prayer remember this quote from
an unknown author. “Peace is not the absence of trouble. Peace is the
presence of God.” May you all know and experience the Lord’s peace this
month and always!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Pastor Christopher Culuris

Worship Teams —Lay Minister/Evangelism Board
Why worship teams you ask, we ask why not?
Well, the Lay Minister Board has been on the hot seat since we started our
Worship Teams for monthly service. We would like to give our members a little
background of how this came to be. Our Evangelical Lutheran Church Synod
wants us to keep our members involved and we thought what better way than
include all of our members in our Sunday worship time.
• It’s a great way to mentor to our youth and get them involved at a
young age.
• It helps us invite members we may have lost touch with back into the
church.
• It gives us the opportunity to get to know all of our members on a
more personal level.
We did not want to exclude any member due to age so we are letting you tell
us if you have concerns with that and we will listen.
Members are assigned a month of service with duties. With all of our members
you should have to serve once a year or less. If you are given a task you feel
you can’t do just ask someone else on the team to help you out. When team
members come to help, give them a job to do: usher, light candles, pray with
Pastor Chris or maybe ring the bell.
We would like to thank all of our members for the willingness shown in making
this a successful change and look forward to working with all.
God Bless,
Your Lay Minister/Evangelism Board: Randi Schaefer, Bonnie Hermann, Todd
Greseth, Brent Leininger, Cassie Anderson.

Stewardship Sunday
Submitted by Monty Schaefer
November 9th has been set as a Sunday to emphasize the many
talents that we have been given from God. Our role as God’s stewards
has many dimensions—grateful, responsible, self-sacrificing, willing, sharing, committed, genuine, and challenged. By generously giving of ourselves, we discover joy in Christ. Upon receiving your covenant card for
2015 please give it prayerful and thoughtful consideration about your
next year’s giving. Faith-Based Giving relies not primarily upon the
church’s need for your giving, but more upon our need to give. This is a
commitment only between you and God. Please bring your covenant
card with you to church on November 9th. If you are not able to be with
us that day, please bring your card to the church office or mail it in.

“Christians Hooked with Love” prayer shawl ministries is starting their
eighth year of meeting at Wanamingo Lutheran Church. The purpose of the
organization is to provide comfort through our giving of prayer shawls and
other items in times of need. To date we have distributed 159 prayer
shawls, 208 items to Rochester Auxiliary and 45 chemo caps to Mayo oncology.
We meet once a month from September to May at 7 pm. Several churches
in the area are represented. Anyone interested in joining prayer shawl ministries is welcome. If anyone knows of someone who needs a prayer shawl
or any questions you may have concerning prayer shawl ministries; contact
Irene Ree at (507) 824 2102. Next Hooked on Love Prayer Shawl Meeting is
November 11th at 7 pm.
Music for all
I know you have been waiting, and the day is finally
here! The choir is getting together and will be practicing for ½ hour following church services on Sundays. Surely you can give a ½ hour of your time to
sing for the LORD. He has blessed us with wonderful voices. We will try to provide a wide array of
special music along with instrumental as well. Just
let me know of your talents and we’ll put them to use. My personal goal
is to provide music on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s of each month. Come as
you are able.
Practice will begin on November 2nd. Can’t wait to see you all!
A big Thank You to the WELCA for repairing the east
wall of the kitchen. Also, thank you to the Elaine Froyum
memorial for the two new stoves in the kitchen. Both were
much needed and improve the kitchen facility immensely.
Trinity has been enrolled as a charitable organization in Melaleuca's catalog

“O GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD!”
As we gather for our Thanksgiving Eve worship service on
November 26th, we bring our praise and thanks to God for
all He has first given to us. In return, we offer God our
praise, thanksgiving and worship. We also respond by
serving others with grateful and generous hearts. In
October the Councils for both Trinity & Wanamingo
decided to send our offering to aid the World Hunger
50%, Zumbrota Food Shelf 25% and the Kenyon Food
Shelf 25%. Therefore, the entire offering taken that night
will go to help these food shelves. We will gather for
worship at Wanamingo Lutheran Church, at 7 pm, on
November 26th for our Thanksgiving Eve Service. Please
join us in giving thanks to God!
