About the Seminar
This Command Seminar will focus on curricular and training issues
particular to the Philippines so that the professional competence of
navigators can be enhanced and matched to the requirements
of the shipping industry. The views of key maritime
stakeholders on Filipino navigational competence will
contribute to the development of programmes, projects
and regulations to ensure the professional advancement
of seafarers and to enhance productivity in the industry.
The conclusions of this seminar will be brought together
with those from the previous four seminars and reported to
appropriate national and international bodies and recommendations
made to the industry.
