Categories and Topics:
There are two categories in the competition: Story-writing and Article Writing. Students are
required to choose ONE of the following topics and write a story/an article in not more than
150 words.

P.4 - P.6 students currently enrolled in Primary schools in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Tin Shui
Wai in Hong Kong or in Shenzhen
Word Limit: Maximum 150 words

Each student is allowed to submit ONE entry ONLY.
All entries must be HANDWRITTEN or TYPEWRITTEN and standard A4 size paper must
be used.

Submission:

The deadline for submission of entries is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 14th November 2014.
2.
Entries can be submitted by email to tmm‐[email protected] with the subject “English
Writing Competition for Primary Students 2014‐2015”. Please note that entries must be
in Microsoft Word format and attached to the email.
3.
Entries must be clearly typed or handwritten in double space with a margin of at least 1
cm on all four sides. The minimum font size must be 12.
4.
Entries can also be submitted by post or in person to the Judging Panel, Caritas Tuen
Mun Marden Foundation Secondary School, No. 3, Wong Yin Street, Tuen Mun, Hong
Kong. Please mark: “English Writing Competition for Primary Students 2014‐2015” on
the envelope.
Adjudication:
Educational professionals will be the final judges for the competition.

Winners will be notified individually by mail on or before 7th January, 2015.
Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held on 31st January, 2015. The decision of the
judging panel will be final.
Entries submitted will not be returned to schools or to participants.
Caritas Tuen Mun Marden Foundation Secondary School will hold the copyright and
ownership of all the entries.
