”Sunne is a wonderful place to live in”
Johan Larsson, 30, and Fanny Nygren,
28, live in the house “Där fram” in
Östanbjörke, ten kilometres from
central Sunne.
”We are very happy here, people are
so nice. There is a great deal of culture
and history here, and there is always
something happening for those who
are interested. And we appreciate the
quietness and nature. We would like
to have children later on, and it feels
secure and good for raising children
here.”
Johan attended the Södra Viken High
School in 2001-2004, and then started
his own business, Johan Larsson
Skogsservice AB.
”I grew up in Deje in Värmland, but
both my parents are from the village of
Mallbacken in Sunne; we have spent a
lot of time there. I was happiest there,”
said Johan, who thought Sunne was an
easy choice for him.
Johan and Fanny lived together in
central Sunne for five years. During that
period Fanny attended the packaging
designer course at Broby-grafiska. She
then worked for Miller Graphics in
Sunne.
Fanny grew up in Åmål.
”Like Johan, I prefer to live here, not
least because it is so beautiful. Sunny is
in a good geographical position and has
everything we need.”
As regards the future, they think it
important that the municipality should
invest in the school.
”Quality of education is important.
Sunne also has a good business climate,
where people support and help one
another. I think that is very positive,”
said Johan.
Johan and Fanny were married in
Lysvik Church in August 2014. In July
they bought the house in Östanbjörke.
Fanny Nygren and Johan Larsson enjoy rural life with their cats in their home
”Där Fram” in Östanbjörke.
”It was not really the right time to
buy a house, but because we wanted it
we couldn’t wait. We had a hectic time
in the summer,” they said, and laughed.
In their free time the house gets all
their attention, and they have built a
carport in the yard.
”We like doing things at home and
also we like to exercise. Johan prefers
orienteering and I like running,” said
Fanny.
In the garden are three cats – Ragdoll
and Siberian Cat. Johan and Fanny plan
to moonlight as farmers later on.
”We would like a few farm animals,
perhaps 2-3 livestock animals, chickens, and a few pigs.”
Fanny’s main hobby is looking for
bargains at jumble sales and the internet
sight Blocket, and renovating furniture.
The 200 square metre house is filling
up as she progresses.
”I buy anything that is second-hand,
I paint and polish. I like giving new
life to things and creating something
unique!”
They think that Sunne’s countryside
is full of life with a wonderful mixture
of generations.
”It would be nice if more people could
see the advantages of a small place. It
really is alive here, it’s wonderful,”
said Johan and Fanny.

The Municipality of Sunne received a
request from some Sunne residents, who
wanted a centrally located cycle pump.
A cycle pump has now been installed
to the benefit of the environment and
general well-being. The cycle pump is
for cyclists in Sunne and is at the Travel
Centre in Järnvägsgatan, to the left of
the ticket machine.
