certification
Fenplast doors are “globally” ENERGY STAR®
certified. However, ENERGY STAR® certification
for steel doors varies depending on the
dimension of the door lite, the number of panes
making up the sealed unit, the use or not of
grilles and low-emissivity glass, etc. You must
add to all these factors the climate zone of your
home.

24 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel
All our doors are made of 24 gauge, galvanized steel. Your door is well protected
against corrosion.

Double weather
stripping
The doors are equipped
with a double weather
strip system. The first one is
magnetic and it works like
the seal on a refrigerator
door; the other one is made
of PVC, which allows the air
pocket between the frame
and the door itself to remain
temperate.
Side panels secured with
interior glazing stops
A neat and modern method of
attaching the side panels and sealed
units to the frame. This system
allows easy replacement in case the
unexpected happens.
Structural assembly
The structural assembly of
the doors makes for a more
rigid frame as well as a more
profiled mullion, between the
door and the side panels.
“Titanium” coloured anodized aluminum sill:
PVC Edge-Cap
There is a strip of PVC EdgeCap on all our steel doors, for
a flawless finish. The installer
can do an impeccable job of
inserting the bolts in the door.
Resistance and timeless beauty are provided by this anodized sill, more
neutral than the traditional grey one, it will keep its original aspect for many
years.

Grand-Cadre® mouldings
As they are longer than regular handleblocks, these wooden blocks provide an
excellent setting surface for latch handles
and they will remain solid over time.
Aesthetically pleasing and in good taste, this moulding
adds a touch of class to any rectangular door lites, except for
venting units. Furthermore, the inside screw-concealing trim is
remarkably discrete.

Security bar
A steel plate is concealed within the frame,
reinforcing it, to ensure effective protection in case
of an attempted break-in.
For a few dollars more, you can equip
your door with decorative ball-bearing
hinges with stylish tips on. They come in
different finishes: black, shiny brass, lead,
antique brass, pewter and oil rubbed
bronze.
Screen for
double door
Fake mullion (SDL)
Adding a screen to
your double or triple
door can transform
it into a perfect
garden door for those
warm summer days,
although it will still be
able to withstand the
bitterest winter cold.
Another way of giving a distinctive look to
a door is to add fake mullions (SDL) on the
glass surface.
These fake mullions measuring 13/16’’, 1
1/8”, 1 5/8”or 2 1/16’’in width are glued
directly on the Insulating glass with tape
especially developed for this application.
They may be applied only on the outside
glass surface or on both sides of the unit.
The addition of an integrated muntin bar
that is aligned with the mullion greatly
improves the aesthetic aspect of the door.

Various exterior PVC mouldings
allow you to make an installation
according to the Fenplast windows.
Painting
The steel door panels use by Fenplast, are all pre-painted in white. However, because this does not necessarily meet all tastes or styles, Fenplast offers the possibility of
having the exterior or/and interior side of the doors painted in its shops with a choice of more than 20 standard colours or with the specific colour you desire.
The paint used for this application is especially formulated to prevent the heat absorbed by it from being transferred to the material behind. In doing so, the materials
maintain their dilation/contraction properties almost intact, allowing them to be painted from pale to dark colours. Therefore, you might let your imagination soar and
choose your favourite colours to harmonize with the colours of your home.

Multipoint handle
You can increase the security of your door through
a multipoint handle. Factory-installed, with several
choices of finish available, it activates a tie-bar that locks
your door on three anchor points located throughout
the length of the frame.

Casings and rosettes
The pine covered PVC jamb extension of the interior
side of the door frame is supply with a groove in
which it is possible to insert a PVC casing. Aesthetics
rosettes, held in place with a screw hidden in its
center, complete the installation. This addition
completes any installation in a jiffy and eliminates
painting.
Grilles
The addition of grilles inside of the glasses is an
economical but nevertheless very aesthetic way
of personalizing its door.
Three types of muntin bars are offered: pencil bar
type, flat, or Georgian (colonial), the most popular,
which is available in width of 11/16”and 1”. Several
colours are available, but the Georgian type has
the most choice, featuring 12 exterior colours,
while remaining white on the inside.

Brick mould
This brick mould, made of

Evoi® Panel
Created with the inside part of the Evolution® panel, this application will give a rich look
to the front of any house, at the bottom of all kind of windows. We fabricate these panels
custom size to make sure it will perfectly match the “skirt” of your overhang window,
enhancing dramatically its appearance.
Evolution® Panels
Fenplast created the Evolution® Panels and
made them popular. These are the most
aesthetically pleasing panels on the market.
They will always give your home a distinctive
touch without failing to meet your safety
and insulation requirements. In addition to a
wide range of standard sizes, they can also be
produce to meet your specific needs.
The GRAND-CADRE® moulding holds the panel
in the door (pre-cut) without exposing any
screws. This moulding assures you continuity
with a door lite, if it applies. The panel itself is
fabricated with galvanized steel and extruded
aluminum. The high insulation factor is done
by filling the panel with high density urethane
(without CFC).

Warranty
Fenplast Doors Division offers a one-year warranty on parts and labour, against any manufacturing or product defect.
Warping (exceeding ¼’’) and delamination are covered for the first 20 years. Doorlites and stained glass each fall
under the respective warranties of our suppliers. Door paint has a ten-year warranty against spontaneous flaking and
