The selection will be done by an expert committee after screening the nominations. Those who have already got any award from IAHEAM will not be considered. A cash prize of Rs. 30,000 will also be given to the winner of the Title. Nominations may be made by sending a detailed bio‐data (in M. S. Word or pdf in the prescribed format) to The President, IAHEAM. The Young Scholar award: ‘HEAM Scholar – 2014’ is the third of its type in an annually conducted idea / project competition among research scholars who pursue their Ph.D. degree programme in Indian Institutions. Highly competent M.Tech / MS students will also be considered in this category. Self‐nominations are welcome from research scholars with their C V and a project proposal (Abstract). Few scholars will be initially selected for oral presentation. They need not to pay the registration fee for attending the two days national seminar on Hydrogen Energy and Other Renewable Energy Sources, to be conducted along with this competition. The presentation of the nominee along with their academic performance will be evaluated by an expert committee. The presentation of their project may reveal their exclusive idea or proposal and the same need not be evidenced by practical results. Ideas / imaginations based on national / international news / reports are also welcome. The award winner i.e., HEAM Scholar – 2014 will be given a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and the title. The Venue The Department of Chemistry, University of Kerala, Kariavattom is situated at a distance of 20 km from Trivandrum railway/bus station. The campus is cosy and environmental friendly, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The nearest airport, Trivadrum is around 20 km. Trivandrum has many interesting places to visit like Veli Tourist Village, Sangumugam and Kovalam Beaches, Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Sree Padmanabha Palace, Museum and Arts Gallery, Science and Technology Museum and Planetarium and etc. Accommodation Accommodation in guest houses/hotels at participant’s cost may be arranged on request. Hotel tariff at Trivandrum ranges from Rs. 500/‐ to 2000/‐ per day. Participants have to send the additional amount as hotel booking fee along with the registration fee. Submission of Extended Abstract The extended Abstract for the oral/poster presentation should be in ‘Times New Roman’, A4 format leaving 2.5 cm on top & bottom and 3.0 cm as left and right margins (not exceeding 1000 words + 3 Figures or Tables). The title (font size 14) should be in bold followed by authors name(s) and affiliation (font size 12), followed by the email ID (font size 10) in italics, of the presenting author.
