PRESS RELEASE OCTOBER 20 Stockholm Film Festival presents this year’s finalists of the 1 km Film The short film scholarship 1km Film gives a chance for Swedish filmmakers to realise their dreams. Ten talented directors are competing for the scholarship this year. The Stockholm Film Festival´s scholarship 1 km Film is granted every year to a promising Swedish filmmaker as help to finance a new project and advance in their career. The winner is awarded 100,000 SEK from the Swedish Film Institute, (SFI), film equipment from Dagljus and postproduction aid from Sweet and Chimney Group, worth about 500,000 SEK. The Swedish Union for Performing Arts and Film is another partner. 1 km film was founded by Stockholm Film Festival in 1990 and since then has been an infallible indicator for new talents in Swedish film industry. Amanda Adolfsson, Ella Lemhagen and Jesper Klevenås are some of the previous winners.
