Opening Keynote
Austin-based filmmaker Robin Berghaus will discuss her MFF2014 alum short documentary
STUMPED, screen the film, and discuss her current Austin Film Society grant-supported project
of expanding the short into a feature.
11:00am-12:15pm Workshop: Achieving Success
Beckie Stocchetti, Community Engagement Manager at Chicago’s Kartemquin Films, will lead
the group in identifying and setting attainable and measureable short and long term goals for
filmmaking work. Participants will also share their goals with one another, helping build peer
groups to which you can be accountable as you work toward those goals.

1:45-3:30pm
Panel: Local Stories
Hear from local filmmakers about their recent successes and challenges in making films,
screening them at festivals and selling a film. Speakers include: Chris Thompson, Michael
Vollmann, Michael Krieger, and Laj Waghray.
3:45-4:45pm
Closing Keynote
Los Angeles-based filmmaker (and Milwaukee native) Jordana Mollick (Life Partners,
MFF2014) will discuss how she’s “made it” in the industry.
5:00-6:00pm
