Vi älskar hantverk
Det tidlösa materialet glas färgar, formar,
släpper igenom och reflekterar ljus. Glasblåsning är dessutom ett fantastiskt
hantverk, lika fascinerande att beskåda
varje gång man ser det.
Vår största nyhet hösten 2015 är en
serie taklampsskärmar i munblåst, klart eller
genomfärgat glas. Färgen är alltså inte målad
på ytan utan det är glaset i sig som är pigmenterat, vilket ger en djupare färgton och ett
vackrare ljusspel. De nya glasskärmarna passar perfekt med vårt nya skomakarupphäng
Spider (sid 18) i obehandlad mässing och med
tvinnad textil­kabel i tre olika färger.
Hantverksmässighet är ledordet för hela
höstkollektionen. Ta till exempel vår nya
elektriska adventsljusstake Brasse (sid 1617), eller singelkusinen Krille (sid 6), båda i
obehandlad mässing eller koppar som bara
blir vackrare med åren.
Marmor är ett annat material som åldras
med stil. Det är också ett naturmaterial vars
ådringar och färgnyanser aldrig är exakt desamma. Lamporna i vår nya serie Sten (sid
6) i vit, grön eller svart marmor är därmed
alla unika individer.
Det råa och industriella anslaget fortsätter också att inspirera. Under förra året
2014 gick vårt flyttlass från Stockholm till
Eskilstuna. Nu huserar vi i renoverade gamla industrilokaler, präglade av Eskilstunas
klassiska industrihistoria. Bara ett stenkast
härifrån hittade vi en fantastisk tågverkstad,
som gjord för att ta inspirationsbilder till den
här katalogen.
Slutligen vill jag tillsammans med vår nya
VD Johan Pehrson och våra medarbetare
på Watt&Veke hälsa dig välkommen till en
fantastisk lamphöst - i ljusets år 2015.

Handmade with love
Glass – a timeless material that plays with
light in so many ways, colouring and shaping
it, transmitting and reflecting it. The age-old
craft of glass blowing is just as fascinating
every time you see it carried out.
Our biggest news in autumn 2015 is a
series of ceiling lampshades in hand-blown
glass, clear or tinted. The colour is not just
on the surface; the glass itself is pigmented,
giving a deeper hue and making beautiful
patterns with the light. The new glass lampshades go perfectly with our new shoemaker’s
hanging arrangement called Spider (page 18),
made of untreated brass with a twisted textile
cable in three different colours.
Craftsmanship is the key word for the whole autumn collection. For example, take our
new electrical Advent candlestick, Brasse (pages 16-17) or his cousin Krille (page 6). Both of
them are made of untreated brass or copper
that only becomes more beautiful with age.
Marble is another material that ages in
style. Being a natural material, its veins and
shades of colour are never exactly the same.
The lamps in our new series, Sten (page 6),
are in white, green or black marble and are
all unique individuals.
The raw, industrial look continues to inspire, too. Last year, 2014, we moved from
Stockholm to Eskilstuna. We have now
settled in some charming old industrial
premises that have been renovated, but
have kept the character of Eskilstuna’s industrial history. Just a few steps away we
found a marvellous old railway workshop,
the perfect backdrop for an inspiring photo
shoot for this catalogue.
Finally I, our new CEO Johan Pehrson, and all our employees at Watt &
Veke would like to welcome you to a
wonderful new range of autumn lamps.
After all, 2015 is the International Year
of Light and Light-based Technologies.

Brasse brass (p 17) - electrical advent lights!
Das zeitlose Material Glas färbt, formt und
lässt das Licht samt Reflektionen durch.
Glasbläserei ist darüber hinaus ein phantastisches Handwerk, beim Anschauen
ist es jedes Mal aufs Neue faszinierend.
Unsere größte Neuigkeit für den
Herbst 2015 ist eine Serie Deckenlampenschirme in mund­geblasenem, transparentem oder gefärbtem Glas. Die Farbe
ist nicht auf der Oberfläche aufgebracht,
sondern das Glas selbst ist pigmentiert,
was einen tieferen Farbton und schönere
Lichtspiele erlaubt. Die neuen Glasschirme
passen perfekt zu unseren neuen Deckenkabeln namens Spider (Seite 18) in unbehandeltem Messing und mit gedrehtem
Stoffkabel in drei verschiedenen Farben.
Verarbeitung ist die Parole für die ganze
Herbstkollektion. Nehmen Sie zum Beispiel
unseren neuen, elektrischen Adventskerzenhalter Brasse (Seiten 16-17) oder seinen
Single-Cousin Krille (Seite 6), beide in unbehandeltem Messing oder Kupfer, die mit
dem Alter nur schöner werden.
Marmor ist ein anderes Material, das mit
Stil altert. Es ist auch ein natürliches Material, dessen Maserung und Farbnuancen nie
gleich sind. Die Leuchten in unserer neuen
Serie "Sten" (Seite 6) kommen im weißen, grünen oder schwarzen Marmor und sind daher
alle einzigartige Kreationen.
Das Raue und Industrielle inspiriert auch
weiterhin. Im Jahr 2014 gingen unsere Möbelwagen von Stockholm nach Eskilstuna.
Jetzt hausieren wir in renovierten, alten Industrieräumen, gekennzeichnet durch Eskilstunas klassische Industriegeschichte.
Nur wenige Schritte entfernt haben wir eine
phantastische Zugwerkstatt gefunden, die
wie gemacht war, um Umgebungsfotos für
diesen Katalog zu schießen.
Schließlich möchte ich Sie zusammen
mit unserem neuen CEO Johan Pehrson
sowie unseren Mitarbeiter bei Watt&Veke

Electrical safety is one of the most important parts of our work
in developing lamps. We put high demands on ourselves to
develop safe, good quality products that comply with all laws
and regulations in the whole of Europe.
As early as the product development phase, we are careful
to choose only approved electrical components. We put a lot
of time and effort into designing our lamps thoroughly on the
drawing board.
When required, we arrange for an independent test
laboratory - Intertek - to test our lamps under existing
standards. The following is a list of the most common symbols
you will find on our lamps:
