Now, you can receive the same blessing by partnering with us to offer hope and love to “at risk” and underprivileged children and their families. We do this through Summer Camps, “Back-toSchool” Kids’ Explosion, and our “Comfort & Joy” Christmas party where we provide Christmas gifts and food packages for students and families. Wellmont Health System is our regions only Children’s Miracle Network hospital and all funds raised here stay here to help our region’s children. This year CMN funds will be used to expand and renovate our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Close to 2,000 babies are born each year to Wellmont hospitals, and more than 250 of these newborns need to be admitted to the NICU, some as young as 24 weeks and weighing as little as 15 ounces.
