Don’t forget to get your tickets for our
Annual Christmas Luncheon.
Details can be found below on the
Social Committee page.
October’s Speaker – Dr. Larry
Black on Ukraine and Russia
Dr. Larry Black shared his
extensive background on the
history of this region and how it
has influenced the recent events
we have watched in the news.
His knowledge and personal
reflections gave all of us things to
think about how we react to
events in this part of the world.
Thanks for sharing your
experience and personal
knowledge with our club!!!
2015
We are working on several exciting
speakers for next year.
Words from the Membership Chair …
The sign-up sheets for Special Interest Groups
(SIGs) will be again available at the coffee
break of the November meeting. A SIG is a
group ofspeople who get together outside of
the monthly meeting to pursue a shared
interest such as card playing, going out for
lunch or dinner or whatever. Each group
manages its own affairs; the Club only
facilitates the formation of the SIGs and will,
on request, publish SIG items in the
newsletter. It is expected that SIGs will
increase socializing between club members
and develop new friendships.
Please see me if you have any questions or
comments.
