"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34
Every day I feel blessed to have two families. My family at home, complete with extended relatives and friends
I consider family and my Holy Family "family" with whom I spend my days. I consider it an honor to have
known so many wonderful children and their parents, grandparents and siblings. For this blessing, I thank the
Lord, especially during this season of thanksgiving.
Whether you are spending this holiday with a family of thirty or dining around a small table, don't miss this
chance to reflect on the role family plays in your life. "A happy family is but an earlier heaven"- George
Bernard Shaw.
Heavenly Father, please shine your light upon my family. Give us strength to overcome all of the difficulties
that we sometimes face and protect us against any and all problems we may encounter in the future. O Lord,
please bring us together as we are meant to be. May the love that binds us only grow stronger as we fulfill the
destiny you have laid out for us.
Bless us Lord, in your name I pray, Amen
Blessings,
Patricia Kuhn, Principal
Halloween Fest
Thank you to our PTO led by Whitney Hannah and Caroline O'Shea for a great Halloween Fest. Our turnout was
wonderful and a good time was had by all. Pre-K is the winner of the two liter collection contest! They have won a pizza
party!
Pumpkin Blast is fast approaching! Get your tickets to enjoy a beautiful day of family fun and pumpkin flinging. There is
nowhere better to be on a Fall day than Tate Farms. See www.pumpkinblast.com for more details and watch school
folders for fliers.
Holy Family Scholastic Book Fair is coming up Monday, November 17th - Friday, November 21st. Look for a
signup link to come out soon.
Thanksgiving Feast
Once again our students, faculty and staff will gather to pray, sing, and share a meal to celebrate the season of
Thanksgiving. This special event will take place on Tuesday, November 25th at 12:00 Noon. This year we are pleased to
be able to offer lunch to our parents! Please watch for more details. Room parents will be contacted by teachers to discuss
volunteers.
Uniforms
The end of warm weather uniforms has come! On November 1, shorts are no longer allowed. Skorts and skirts may be
worn year-round. For PE, it is permissible to bring navy blue sweatpants. Recess will be spent outside unless the
temperature dips below 40 degrees. Please send the appropriate outerwear with your students.
Keep the cans rolling in!
Holy Family has once again registered to win a nation-wide can collection contest! We could win just doing what we
always do! First prize is $1,000. We have won two years in a row - let's do it again! Consider both the environment and
your school when disposing of cans and bring them in.
Memorial Wall
During the month of November, our school community will pray for deceased members of families and friends. Names
will be placed on our Memorial Wall located across from the Office and will be remembered in prayer each day. Please
see the attached form.
Please help Holy Family's mission to "Feed the Hungry!"
Watch for information on the forthcoming food drive. Our November contributions help stock the St. Vincent DePaul
Food Pantry for the Holidays. Our prayer is that every student contributes one canned good during every Mass and assists
the special food drive to the best of their ability.
