2015 Open Enrollment is November 24 – December 8, 2014
Open Enrollment comes once a year, but your VCA benefits take care of you and your
family all year long! We’re making exciting changes to our benefits program for 2015,
so you’ll want to learn what’s new so you can choose the coverage that’s best for you.
What’s New for 2015 … Everything!
There are three important things for you to know about your benefits for 2015:
introducing a new approach to benefits enrollment for 2015 —
1. We’re
one that’s simpler and offers you a wide selection of benefit choices:
Mercer Marketplace.
Through Mercer Marketplace, you can combine traditional benefits, like medical,
dental, and life insurance, with other benefit options, like accident insurance and
critical illness coverage, to create a personalized benefits package.
Some of the benefits will be similar to your current benefits, while other
benefits will be completely new.
You’ll even be able to go to a new online enrollment site with great decisionmaking tools to help you select the right benefit plans for you and your family.
Or, you can call the Mercer Marketplace call center at 844-801-WOOF (9663)
where trained benefit professionals are ready to serve you and help you make
the right choices.
Because the plans available to you for 2015 are new, take time to review your
options carefully so you can make the best coverage decisions.

Why Mercer Marketplace?
Because you asked for it! We heard the
feedback from employees asking for
more choice, a better website, and better
customer service.
We feel that Mercer Marketplace can
offer all of this and more. VCA takes
pride in offering a competitive benefits
program that provides valuable care
and protection for you and your family.
Because no two people are exactly the
same, we wanted a program that offers
you the flexibility to select the best
coverage for your personal situation.
We also wanted a program that offered
financial value to both you and VCA.
After conducting careful research on
all our options, we found that Mercer
Marketplace offered the best solution to

reform — requires almost everyone in the U.S. to have medical coverage or pay a penalty on their income
taxes. This requirement is called the individual mandate. If you don’t have coverage in 2015, you’ll be
required to pay a penalty on your income taxes in 2016. If you enroll in a VCA-offered medical plan, you’ll
meet the individual mandate requirement for 2015.
