Children’s Theatre Workshop is a great way to get involved with Lancer Productions and North Scott Performing Arts! Throughout the day, children will participate in a variety of sessions taught by high school Lancer Productions members, such as Musical Theatre, Stage Combat, Hair and Make-up, and Costuming, that will introduce them to what being in the theatre is like. This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland - Lancer Production’s Spring Children’s Theatre production. Follow LP down the rabbit hole! Cat in the Hat Drop and Shop While the kids are off enjoying the day - feel free to come over to the Junior High School where the North Scott Speech Team’s Annual Craft and Vendor Fair will be taking place. Schedule of the Day Don’t be late for our very important date! 8:00 a.m. Drop Off/Registration 8:30 a.m. Welcome, Introductions, Rules, and Procedures 9:00--9:30 a.m. Session I 9:35--10:05 a.m. Session II 10:10--10:40 a.m. Session III 10:45--11:15 a.m. Session IV 11:20--11:50 a.m. Session V (Prep for Showcase--No RR/ Snack/Tours during this session) Presented by St. Ambrose University After the workshop, students may go to St. Ambrose University to watch their children’s theatre performance of Cat in the Hat. Transportation, supervision, and the ticket is included for the small fee of $5. 11:55 a.m.--12:40 p.m. LUNCH 12:45--1:30 Showcase (and SWAG BAG distribution) 1:30--Pick-up (SAU Show Kids transition to pods) 1:45--Show and Bus Etiquette Lesson 2:00--Load busses and depart for St. Ambrose’s Cat in the Hat at Galvin Fine Arts Center 2:30--Arrive at SAU 3:00--Cat in the Hat Approximately 4:15--Arrive at NSHS for pickup To guarantee a tshirt, registration is due November 24th!
