Teams arriving prior to February 26th MUST contact [email protected]
to arrange for trail passes, early wax cabin access, and cannot be on the range
without a locally certified Range Safety Officer (RSO). Special arrangements will
have to be made to have RSO’s on site. Range use without an RSO present is
prohibited.!

A7. Accreditation!
All Team Members (Competitors, Coaches, Team Leaders, Team Staff) and IBU
representatives must be accredited. The PLARAS accreditation office is located in
the Day Lodge at the Competition Venue. Teams will receive official training bibs
upon accreditation that will be required for each competitor to wear while on the
trails. Competition bibs will be issued at team captains meetings. The PLARAS

A8. Liability and Insurance!
The organizer will not accept any claims resulting from injury to health, accidents or
damages including those caused by foreign or own competitor or by third parties
during the training and competitions. All participants have to be sufficiently insured
against accidents and illnesses by themselves or their Nations' Federation. With the
entry by names the National Federation must confirm the existence of the required
insurance for all persons entered.!
A9. Importation of Rifles and Ammunition !
All athletes and teams from outside Canada must declare their rifles and ammunition
(1500 rounds) upon arriving in Canada.!
!
This is done by completing the Non-Resident Firearm Declaration form (RCMP 5589)
and presenting it to a border services officer (CBSA) at the point of entry to Canada.
This declaration form should be filled out prior to your arrival in Canada. However, it
should not be signed before arriving at the entry point, as a Canada Border Services
Agency (CBSA) border services officer must witness the signature. !

A confirmed declaration costs a flat fee of CAN $25, regardless of the number of
firearms listed on it. It is valid only for the person who signs it and only for those
firearms listed on the declaration. Once the declaration has been confirmed by the
CBSA border services officer, it acts as a licence for the owner and is valid for 60 days. !

All visitors entering Canada require a valid passport. To determine if your country
requires a Visa to enter Canada please visit:

Should you require a Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa – TRV), you must
apply to the Visa Office responsible for your country of nationality, or to a Visa
Office in a country where you have been legally admitted. You must complete an
Application for Temporary Resident Visa form following the Instruction Guide and
forms available at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp!

Some Visitors meeting the Immigration criteria may apply online. For all others
take your completed form(s) with your fee to a Canadian Embassy, high
commission or consulate abroad. This MUST be done before arriving in Canada. !

Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Poland (holders of non-biometric
passports only), Romania, Russia, Serbia, Taiwan (without an ordinary passport
issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan that includes their personal

A11. Import, export and use of radio transmitters!
All radios usage will be registered with the organizing committee to ensure
the frequencies are clear for medical emergencies and timing data. !
Electrical power in Canada is 110 V/60 Hz/ 1PH, plug adapters and step up
transformers must be supplied by the teams. There will be no transformers
or plug adapters available on site. !

Transportation of Teams and Equipment to Calgary International Airport !
Conceptum Sports Logistics has flight packages available for Team Travel and
equipment from the OECH to the Venue. In case of interest NFs are
requested to make their bookings directly with CSL by January 15, 2015.

Transportation from the Airport !
The Calgary International Airport is 110km from the Venue. The OC can
provide one arrival and one departure transfer per team. Please complete the
attached Travel Form (Annex 3) and send to [email protected]!
This information MUST be received by February 20, 2015 to accommodate
your schedule and equipment needs. If your information is not received by
the above deadline, teams will have to make their own arrangements for
transport to Canmore. !
