INVITATION
It gives us great pleasure to invite and welcome you to
participate in the National workshop on “Radiochemistry
and Applications of Radioisotopes” organized by
Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Baramati on
15th to 20th December 2014.
ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Baramati was
established in June 1962, with blessings from Jain Saint
Late “Samantbhadra Maharaj”. It is run by Anekant
Education Society, Baramati established in 1961.The
college has been awarded religious minority status in 2007
and its core philosophy is “Siddhiranekantat” i.e.
“Anekantwad”, meaning Multidimensionalism.
The college celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2012 and
is known as one of the leading and prestigious college in
Maharashtra. Keeping pace with modern trends in higher
education, the college today has full-fledged UG &PG
courses in Art, Commerce, Science & Computer Science.
For aspirant of higher studies, Ph.D. guidance centers, add
on courses & Vocational courses are available to the stake
holders. Today, the Tuljaram Chaturchand College,
Baramati stands tall, catering to more than 10,000 students
from & around Baramati providing quality education &
reshaping them in to responsible youth of India. The
College was Re-accredited with ‘B’ grade by NAAC in
2011. At present the college offers 23 programmes at UG
level and 17 Programmes at PG level. The college has
grown from strength to strength over the past 52 years and
going ahead as a global educational institution.
Baramati - One of the well known historical places in
Maharashtra-is situated at bank of the river ‘Karha’ the
town is also famous in Maharashtra because of the popular
poet ‘Moropant’, the grate legendary poet Laureate. Today
Baramati has done remarkable development in the era of IT
& Education. It is one of the prospering cities with
education & industrial hub making a global impact.
Baramati is 100km from Pune by road. It connects to major
high ways via the road network. Baramati is also well
connected by rail network to Pune via daund junction. The
nearest air port is Pune.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The P.G. courses in the Department were introduced in
1994 with Specialization in Organic, Inorganic and
Analytical Chemistry for 144 PG students. The department
is having well equipped Laboratories. A number of minor
research projects sponsored by UGC & BCUD are
successfully completed.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied
Scientists (IANCAS) were founded in 1981with an
objective to popularize the beneficial aspects of nuclear
energy and applications of radioisotopes in science,
technology, agriculture and health care among the academic
community. This workshop will provide a forum for mutual
interaction among scientists and faculty members from
various educational institutions and research organizations.
Eminent scientists of international repute specialized in
topics like nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics, nuclear
reactors, production and application of radioisotopes and
nuclear analytical techniques will be the resource persons
for the Workshop. The lectures will be supplemented by
laboratory experiments for the benefit of the participants. In
