Analyst’s Verdict: Only a small field but a
very interesting contest. Highland Retreat
failed to meet expectations on last month’s
Cheltenham chase debut but has to be
worth another chance given how well she
progressed over hurdles last season, though
Kaki de La Pree, who was a useful novice
hurdler last term, and Return Spring are
certainly good enough to ensure she won’t
have things all her own way.

on their return, but Jupiter Rex shaped with
plenty of encouragement when reappearing
after a long absence over hurdles at this
venue recently and looks worth chancing
back over the larger obstacles now.

defeat is hardly ideal, so this can go the way

better given his bumper form.
