Time for Christmas again. The months have really
gone by fast. We seem to be getting older and the
holidays just seem to be coming faster and faster.
We’re having more of the snowbirds coming in and
saying “HI”. Welcome back! But you could have
left the cooler weather back home, I was enjoying
the warmer weather here! Guess we should feel
lucky, NO SNOW!

November Meeting
As of 11/3/14 Gold was $1177.00 and silver $ 16.00. It’s almost time
for the Christmas Party and all of the wonderful food. Don’t forget the
food drive at the party. Discussion if the members wanted a Treasure
Hunt. The vote was yes and the members wanted it to be for members
only. Dan will discuss in more detail at the next business meeting in
January 2015.

November Outing
John said 5 stayed overnight and about 8 showed up on Saturday and
they really had a good time! They found a grave with the name Floyd
on it, as the picture showed.

Apache Junction Search & Rescue
Roger B. is selling tickets for a 1/3 oz gold nugget
with a 3/4 carat of a diamond with a bail. The tickets
$5 each or 5 tickets for $20. We have tickets for sale
at the store.
GPS CLASS
The GPS class will be on Dec. 6th. It costs
$10 to join in and learn how to use your
GPS and be safe.
The class has to have 4 club members and
no more than 8. You will need a Garmin
hand held GPS, compass and grid writer.
The GPS classes will be held the Saturday
after the meeting at Promack T.H. The
classes usually run from 9AM until
about 3PM. It’s a great class to
take to be sure you understand
how your GPS works and you can
find your way around.
At the March meeting it was talked about if someone
were to go out by themselves to please call the AJ
Search & Rescue to let them know where and how
long they plan on being out in the desert hiking or
prospecting, that way if something unforeseen happens they would have a good idea where to start
looking for them. Roger came in with the phone number to call: it is 520-333-SSAR and leave a message,
when they return please let them know so no one is
out looking for someone that has returned safely.
