Year 11 Courses Outline and Homework Expectations 2014 - 15
Year 11 is a very important year for your son/daughter. It is with this in mind that I have asked each department
to indicate when key pieces for work or examinations will take place. Whilst some departments have been able
to specify the dates for the components of courses, others have identified the month in which the event will
take place.
Finally, Year 11 may be set 8 – 10 hours of homework per week. This will mean that a Year 11 pupil may be
expected to complete homework for up to 2 hours per night. As far as possible, homework will be set according
to the homework timetable inside the back cover of the log book. Homework tasks should be clearly recorded in
the log book so that you can check that the work is begin set and completed when you sign it weekly. Tutors will
also check the log books on a regular basis.
