INSTRUCTIONS

Distress and ink the edges of ATTITUDE and use as your
background. Drip the black ink on the top right and lower
left areas of the page then stand page up to create runs.
Once dry stamp the grid pattern using black ink. Apply
the silver structure paint over the crosses template,
remove template and leave to dry.
Cut random width strips from EXTREME (front and
reverse) and AWESOME (reverse). Trim to a variety of
lengths then distress and ink the edges. Adhere these to
the centre of your layout.
Distress the edges of your photo then matt your photo
onto black card and distress these edges also.
Stamp the arrow and stars from the collection stamps
onto your page. Use the grid stamp on some arrow
collectables and adhere these under the stamped arrow.
Complete by adding distressed and inked collectables
and stickers.

More than just a die cut!
Take inspiration from this layout created using
our versatile SUPERSTAR die cut. You can easily
create different textures and backgrounds to
suit any project. With the option to use as a
stencil, and/or easily change the colour, this
specialty is a whole lot more than just a die cut!

Half fill an empty Spray Bottle with water and add Derivan Blue Ink until you reach the depth of
colour you desire.
Turn over die cut and mist the stars onto a piece of white card stock.
Cut up a portion of the die cut and use a combination of both the original black stars and misted
blue stars on your layout towards the top right corner.
Swipe Gel Medium through the Stars Template and sprinkle Dry Black Flakes before removing.
Allow to dry.
Matte photo using polaroid frame in the collectables pack and further decorate using other die
cuts as desired.

Turn over and mist through the die
cut as you would a mask/stencil.

textured
backgrounds for
your projects using
only a couple of
Derivan products.

Spread a generous amount of
Impasto Medium over mixed media
paper.
Make sure paper is heavy enough
to take wet products without falling
apart.

Place another piece over the top
and press together.
Carefully seperate the two sheets
and allow to dry.
Drip ink onto the top of the page
and using a wet brush swipe down
your page.
The watered down inks blend
together and highlight the textured
background.
try these additional techniques!
Scrunch up some glad
wrap onto the ink. Allow
to dry then remove.
Drip vinegar onto your
page and watch as it
reacts with the ink.
Sprinkle salt. Allow time
for the salt to absorb
some ink and dry.
Create another effect
using dishwashing
detergent and watch the
colours seperate.
