Red Deer Regional Hospital.

To our Cherished Supporters,
For the past 20 years, generous sponsors like you have helped to shape
the Festival of Trees into not only an invaluable fundraising event for the
Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, but also a kick-off to the festive
season in Central Alberta.
In 2013 your donations assisted the Festival of Trees, 20th Anniversary,
in raising $1,280,000 to enhance and expand programs through the Red
Deer Regional Hospital’s Advanced Urologic Diagnostic Imaging Program.
We are excited to be directing our 2014 fundraising efforts towards
enhancing obstetrical care at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Alberta
Health Services will fund renovations for the addition of two Obstetrical
Operating rooms adjacent to the Maternity Unit, and the Festival of Trees
will assist in funding for the equipment costs of this project.
This renovation will provide rapid access to patients needing a cesarean
section and will increase efficiency of work flow for hospital staff, and dignity
of the patient is maintained by eliminating transport in public corridors.
All Central Alberta residents will benefit from these renovations whether
you or someone in your family is expecting a baby or not, as the addition
of these two new surgical theatres will free up one of the 9 existing general
surgical theatres currently reserved solely for obstetric procedures. This
will allow for general surgeries to be increased by approximately 1600
per year!

continued commitment to enhancing healthcare programs and services
provided at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. We look forward to

Legacy Donor
In 2011 it was with heartfelt appreciation and humble gratitude
that the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation announced our first
legacy donation from Mary Bea Quinn & Family, in memory of the
late J.B. (Bernard) Quinn, of Rocky Mountain House. Their generous
donation of $1,000,000 will be used over eight years to enhance
healthcare at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre through the
annual Festival of Trees.
