Men’s Jets Water Polo
The men’s water polo team was
the 12th seed in the Division II men’s
tournament. The Encinal team went
11-16 on the year, but played well
enough in league play to be selected
for the tournament. The men’s team
also played Tamalpais in the first
round, and just like the women’s
team, lost to the Red Tailed Hawks
in the first round. The Jets lost 22-12
in the match up, which was played
on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Contra
Costa College.
Lady Pilots Volleyball
The St. Joseph Notre Dame women’s volleyball team entered the postseason with a 26-6 overall record,
which earned them the fourth seed
in the NCS Division V playoffs.
In its first two games in the
tournament the Pilots have not
dropped a set. They beat 13thseed Valley Christian of Dublin
3-0 (25-13, 25-7, 25-15) in the
opening round on Wednesday,
Nov. 12. They then went on to
defeat fifth-seed College Prep of
Oakland 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-10)
in the quarterfinal round. The
Pilots took on the one-seed
Branson of Ross in the semifinal
round yesterday.
