WELCOME
SYMPOSIUM:
BRAIN DISEASES
– WHY TO INVEST IN
RESEARCH IN FINLAND
We have a pleasure to invite you to the Symposium:
Brain Diseases - why to invest in research in Finland
on the 14th of October 2016 at 12:30–16:25.
The Symposium takes place at Haartman Institute, Lecture Hall 1,
University of Helsinki (Haartmaninkatu 3, 00290 Helsinki).
In Finland we have groundbreaking science in many fields of brain diseases.
Concurrent governmental actions such as the reform of the Biobank Act and
establishing the National Genomic Center will open up new avenues for cutting-edge
research and innovations for development of modern treatments for brain diseases.
This Symposium aims at creating an open mindset and identifying new ways to collaborate
between universities, hospitals, and industry. What is the key that our small country will
become the most attractive center for brain disease research in Europe?
