THE CENTRAL TENDERS BOARD invites proposals from interested consultant/consortia for the provision of consultancy services for the
design and supervision of nine (9) Replacement Primary Schools, Ministry of Education. The schools are sub-divided into packages as

The successful consultant/consortia can submit proposals for more than one package, but will only be awarded one.
Bidding documents may be obtained during normal working hours at the Central Tenders Board’s Office, 116, Frederick Street,
Port-of-Spain.
Further technical information may be requested during normal working hours in writing or by Facsimile Number 627-2019
from Mr. Ronald Thom, Technical Director, Educational Facilities Management Unit, Ministry of Education, 86, Frederick Street,
Port-of-Spain.
A pre-tender meeting will be held at 10.00 a.m. on Wednesday 2nd February, 2005 at 86, Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain.
Proposals must be accompanied by valid Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland
Revenue and dated not more than six (6) months prior to the closing date of the tender and a Certificate of Compliance issued in
accordance with the National Insurance Act.
Prices must remain valid for ninety (90) days from the closing date of tender.
Bidders are required to submit their proposals [original and five (5) copies] using two (2) envelopes clearly marked as follows:
Envelope No. 1—Technical Proposal—“Provision of Consultancy Services for nine (9) Replacement Primary Schools—Ministry of
Education—Package” and Envelope No. 2—Financial Proposal—“Provision of Consultancy Services for nine (9) Replacement Primary
Schools—Ministry of Education—Package”.
Envelopes must be addressed to the Chairman, Central Tenders Board, 116, Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain and deposited in the
Brown Tenders Box located in the lobby of the Board’s Office not later than 1.00 p.m. on Thursday 24th February, 2005.
Technical proposals will be opened shortly after closing at the Board’s Office in the presence of the bidders who choose to attend.
The Central Tenders Board reserves the right to cancel the bidding process in its entirety or partially without defraying any cost
incurred by individuals submitting proposals.
Late proposals will not be accepted.

Tenderers are required to pay a tender deposit of two hundred dollars ($200.00) to the Director of Contracts and attach tne original
receipt to their tender. This tender deposit will be received by cash or certified cheque from Monday to Friday between the hours of
8.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.

A pre-tender meeting will be held at 9.30 a.m. on Monday 21st February, 2005 at the Land and Water Development Division,
Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Marine Resources, Centeno.
Prospective tenderers are required to visit and acquaint themselves with conditions, which may influence their tender. Site visits
schedules will be given at the pre-tender meeting.
Separate contracts may be awarded for each Contract Area.
Tenders must be accompanied by valid Income and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland Revenue
and dated not more than six (6) months prior to the closing date of tender and a Certificate of Compliance issued in accordance with the
National Insurance Act.
The original tender document, together with one (1) additional copy of the Form of Tender, Bills of Quantities and the Main
Summary Sheet will be received up to 1.00 p.m. on Thursday 17th March, 2005.
