Kids’ Adirondack Picnic Table Thank you for purchasing our Kids’ Adirondack Picnic Table. Assembly of this product requires a standard Phillips and flat head screwdriver as well as a pair of pliers. We have found it helpful to have a second person present in at least one step of the assembly. 0T693072702 PARTS STEP 1 Read through these instructions thoroughly before beginning assembly. We have found this to be of great value when first assembling this product. STEP 2 Remove all parts and hardware from packing material. Wooden pieces should be placed on a nonabrasive surface (like the carton or carpet) to prevent damage to the finish. STEP 3 Identify all parts using diagram at right STEP 4 Identify and count hardware using diagram at right. Washer – quantity 16 Bolt – quantity 16 Cap Nut – quantity 16 Screw – quantity 4 STEP 5 Stand seat assembly on its side. Position legs as shown on outside of seat assembly and install bolts through both parts. Start washer and then a cap nut on each bolt until hand tight only. Bolts will be tightened further in Step 8. 1 of 3 0T693072702 STEP 6 Place table in an upright position and lower table top into position as shown here. Install the remaining 8 bolts through the legs and into the tabletop. Now add a washer and a cap nut to each bolt and hand tighten only. Bolts will be tightened further in Step 8. STEP 7 Turn table upside down and fit the two braces into the four slots. Adjust the bottoms of the braces so that all four fit as flat as possible into the bottoms of the slots. Make sure that they fit correctly. From the outside of the seat assembly, install a 1” wood screw into each brace and tighten. STEP 8 Turn table upright and install two 1” wood screws through the top of the table and into the brace until tight. Be sure the braces are fitting completely inside the slots underneath the tabletop. Gently rock the table back and forth on a flat surface to be certain that all four legs are touching the surface so the table will sit flat. Using a screwdriver on the bolt head and pliers (or an adjustable, or a 7:16” wrench) on the cap nut, completely tighten all bolts until the bolt head begins to be pulled slightly into the wood. 2 of 3 0T693072702 CARE This Kid’s Adirondack Picnic Table is painted with exterior house paint and the finish is designed to provide long lasting protection when exposed to the harshness of weather. But no matter how durable, painted wooden furniture should not be left outdoors continually. It is best to store it inside when not in use. Even in mild conditions, painted wood furniture left outdoors will eventually fade and show the effects of exposure to weather. To clean your painted furniture, use a mild detergent such as dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth.
