18th Annual Shoes for Children Drive and Benefit Performance The Threepenny Opera Join us for a performance by the Ira Aldridge Theatre Company of Nevada as they perform The Threepenny Opera, an adaptation of the 18th century The Beggar’s Opera. This play offers savage, biting commentary on bourgeois capitalism and modern day morality. “Sweet” Lou Collins, a co-founder of the Shoes for Children, will emcee. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is one new pair of children’s athletic shoes sized to fit preschoolers to high school youth. Donations will also be accepted from November 20 through December 23 at all District branches.
