The old Pringle School in South Salem could have a second life as
a mixed-use development with a restaurant.

Property owner John Miller of Wildwood Inc. and business partner
Travis Henry intend to invest more than a half-million dollars to
remodel the school building. The property is at 4985 Battle Creek
Road SE.

Plans submitted to the city show improvements to accommodate a
5,000-square-foot restaurant and additional office space.
“It should be really fun and good for the neighborhood,” Miller said.
A “family-oriented” restaurant tenant would be a good match for the
location, he said.
Miller said he has just started marketing the
location and doesn’t have any prospective
restaurant tenants lined up.

The building already houses offices,
including those for Miller’s business, a real
