All were in favor. Motion carried Brad Leckrone discussed the Shield computer program, which is a software records management program for the police department. The cost of the program is approximately $2000 and the hardware set up would be less than $1000. Councilperson Bassett made a motion to purchase the program and hire Next Generation Technologies to do the set up. The motion was seconded. All were in favor. Motion carried. Councilperson Bassett moved approval of the addendum to the Waste Management garbage and recycling contract. The addendum would allow for larger recycling containers. Because the City agreed to extend the current contract for an additional 36 months, there will be no change in cost for the new recycling containers. The motion was seconded. All were in favor. Motion carried. Councilperson Bassett moved to approve the appointment of Tom Gretillat to the Board of Adjustment. The motion was seconded. Those voting Aye were: Bassett, Hanson, Johnson. Voting Nay: VanderPloeg Councilperson Bassett moved approval of purchasing a laptop and software, with a spending cap of $800, to be used for internet reporting and water and wastewater reports. It shall be the responsibility of the abutting property owners to remove snow, ice and accumulations promptly from sidewalks. If a property owner does not remove snow, ice or accumulations with a reasonable time, the City may do so and assess the costs against the property owner for collection in the same manner as a property tax.
