On Monday, Janice Mathis told Bartow Co. Sheriff's Deputies that someone entered the residence through an unlocked back door and took the guns from a bedroom. A suspect was seen in the area trying to sell one of the guns. The burglary is under investigation. ♦ GLADE RD. IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED A public information open house to discuss the Georgia D.O.T's proposed improvements to Glade Rd. is scheduled for Thursday from 5-7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Allatoona Elementary School at 4150 New Hope Church Rd., Acworth.
