GIVING There are many ways you can help the YMCA continue its mission to help the community grow strong in spirit, mind and body. Become a member. Volunteer your time. Donate financially to one of our campaigns. COMMUNITY PARTNERS ANNUAL CAMPAIGN The Woodson YMCA’s program and membership fees do not cover all the costs of supporting programs for low income adults and children. As a nonprofit organization, contributions are a critical source of income, helping to ensure our promise that no one is ever denied access to our YMCA programs or facilities because of inability to pay. Your gift will help young people achieve their potential, empower people of all ages to lead healthier lives and strengthen the bonds of our community. VOLUNTEERING Volunteers, by their very nature, help root the Woodson YMCA to its identity as an association of people motivated by an ethic of service. See of listing of ways you can help support your community through the Woodson YMCA as a volunteer under the “Get Involved” tab on our website. The Community Partners Campaign is our primary means of reaching out to the community for support. Only by working together can we give more community members the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body. For more information on how you can help support those in need, please call Kathy Peterson at 845-2177 or visit the Social Responsibility tab of our website to learn more. HERITAGE FUND The Heritage Fund of the Woodson YMCA Foundation, Inc. provides a system to fund important YMCA programs that require subsidy. It is there to fund essential programs for at-risk youth, low-income families, adults (many with special needs), group homes and dislocated workers. The fund will be administered by the Woodson YMCA Foundation Board of Directors to extend and perpetrate the service of the YMCA to the community and to support the YMCA legacy. Learn more in our online brochure! A Heritage Fund investment strengthens the YMCA’s capacity to provide programs for low income people, which build relationships, improve skills, and promote health. If you are interested in helping the YMCA support its charitable work, by making a gift to the Heritage Fund, please contact Executive Director Bryan Bailey to discuss your contribution. 43 FACILITY & HOLIDAY HOURS Facility Hours Wausau/Aspirus branches Monday to Friday........5 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Saturday.....................7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday.......................10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Holiday Hours OPEN ON HOLIDAYS Thanksgiving Day...........8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Christmas Eve................5 a.m. - 1 p.m. Christmas Day...............Closed New Year’s Eve..............5 a.m. - 4 p.m. New Year’s Day..............9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Easter............................Closed Memorial Day.................8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Independence Day..........8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Labor Day...................... 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. The Y.
