HHS canned food drive begins Dec. 1 and will end on Dec. 19. Be sure to bring cans into your 2nd hour
class. If you reach 75 cans in a class, the whole class will receive donuts, if you reach 125 cans, there will
be pizza for the whole class. If you have any questions, contact Luke Geeting or Grant Cowen
Supplies for Soldiers!
A winter project to collect supplies for care packages that will be sent to troops overseas.
Items will be collected in second hour, and your second hour teacher will let you know what the item you
class is collecting.
The drive will end December 3rd.

TOLO
Tolo will be held on December 13th, 2014 in the HHS Commons
8-11 PM
Ticket prices-$8 with ASB, $10 without ASB, or $15 at the door
You can drop new or gently used coats in the bin by the lost and found in the office. HEAVY winter coats
are preferred but all coats will be accepted.
The event ends on December 5th! If the school brings in 100 coats, the school will get $200, the winning
school gets $500 and a trophy.
Starting Monday, December 1st, Gesa will be having 12 days of Christmas! Every time you
come to Gesa in the fly buy to do a transaction of $5 or more you will we receive a raffle ticket
and at the end of each lunch Gesa will draw out a winner for some great prizes!! On December
18th all of the remaining tickets from the previous drawings will be put into one final drawing for
a grand prize of $50!!

Come see opening night for the exciting Falcons Boys Basketball Team as they take on a traveling team
from Australia tonight (Monday, Dec. 1) here at HHS. Game time is at 7PM! Come help the boys make it

Every Friday is Falcon Friday!!! Purple and Gold is the color to wear. Deck yourself out in all the Purple

CLUB INFORMATION
New To HHS This Year:
The Gamers Club will be held on Friday’s in Mrs. T. Smith’s Room 2205 from 1:30-3:00 PM
Gaming systems will be available for use.
Joining requires students to have an ASB membership and a turned in parental consent form.
Students looking to join can get consent forms from Mrs. Tara Smith.
New To HHS This Year:
The Knitting Club will be held on Wednesday’s in Ms. Swanson’s Room 1405 from 2:30-3:00. If you want
to learn to knit or crochet stop by and check it out. There’s no fee to join.
New To HHS This Year:
Ping pong club will be meeting on Tuesday's after school at 2:30 in the falcon gym (behind the
bleachers). We will be meet for 30 minutes.
DECA club meetings are held every Wednesday in Mrs. Shively's room 1202.
RECYCLE CLUB
Recycle Club meets on Fridays directly after school. It only takes half an hour of your time, and it's really
beneficial to our school. If you are interested, we meet in Mrs. Stordeur's room at 1:30PM
Parents can also help HHS Recycle Club by purchasing supplies or recycling ink cartridges at Staples.
Just give the cashier the school’s telephone number, 509-967-6500, and Recycle Club will receive credit.
So far with our credit, we have been able to purchase blue recycle containers.
Last year we recycled over 125,000 lbs of material!!
Engineering Club is for all students interested in Robotics, programming, circuitry, business, and
whatever other engineering activities you want to do. Students are free to come even if they have
absolutely no engineering knowledge or experience!
Engineering Club meets on Thursday nights @ 6:30 in Mrs. Stordeur’s room #2610. We learn about
robotics, programming and other cool electronics.
Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to
provide service, build character and develop leadership.
Key Club meets every Monday night @ 7:00 in the HHS Commons. Membership fee is $15.00
Knowledge Bowl meets on Wednesdays at 2:30 PM in Mr. Wilsons Room (2013). Come test your wits
and learn new information in a friendly yet competitive setting. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on
experience.
ECOLOGY CLUB
Ecology Club meets every Wednesday at 2:30 PM in Mr. Johns' classroom #2613.
It's a lot of fun if you're not afraid to get down and dirty!
It's never too late to join, so come hang out at Ecology Club!
JSA stands for Junior State of America and is a nationwide organization that provides an avenue for
teens to debate and discuss government and politics. It's a great way to learn more about our government
and become a better public speaker. Come check it out!
JSA meets every other Monday in Ms. McKee’s Room #2007 @ 2:30 PM
International Club meets every Tuesday after school in Mrs. McKee's room 2007. All students welcome to
attend! Come meet the foreign exchange students and learn about different cultures!
French Club meets the second Wednesday of every month during both lunches in Madame Sant's room

SCIENCE BOWL
Science Bowl meets in Mr. Palmer's room #1610 on Tuesday’s @ 2:30
If you are interested in entering the Mid Columbia Regional Science Fair, see Mr. Palmer in room
1610 for the paperwork. We want to try and get projects submitted for approval by December 19th
so that you can get going on the project as soon as possible. Remember you can't start your
project until you get approval.
BUDDY CLUB
Buddy Club is a fun club that unites students with and without disabilities. Come to learn more of what it is
all about. There is no fee to join the club. Buddy Club held is every Friday during both lunches in Mr.
Manka's room, room 1532.
Buddy Club is a fun inclusive club for students that has different events throughout the year including:
going to the movies, having a Monster Mash, going bowling, and having a huge prom for Buddy Clubs
from high schools all over the Tri-Cities.

Miss Washington, Kailee Dunn will visit the HHS Career Center on Monday, December 1st
during both lunches. Kailee is a 2010 Kamiakin HS graduate, and past Miss Tri Cities.
Learn how Kailee followed her dream to earn the title of Miss Washington and earn over
$40,000 in college scholarships. Contact Mrs. Richardson in the Career Center or Mrs. Shively
in room #1202 for more information.
Seniors....Just in from WSU Tri-Cities. You are invited to compete for a $1500 renewable
academic award! 1 in 5 students will receive an award. Must have a minimum 3.25 GPA and be
admitted to WSU Tri-Cities to compete on Friday, January 30th. Stop by the Career Center for
more information.
