Call the Children’s at Egleston Scheduling Center at 404-785-6078. Our scheduling centers are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. If your child needs an X-ray, he does not need an appointment. If you need to: −Confirm an appointment— call the radiology scheduling center. −Cancel or reschedule—call at least three business days before the appointment. Preparing Your Child Some radiology exams require preparation at home before the appointment. Visit www.choa.org/radiologypreps for instructions. Preauthorization Most insurance plans require your child’s doctor to get an authorization (sometimes called a precertification) for a radiology exam. To make sure that your child’s exam can be done on the appointment date, check with your child’s doctor or insurance provider to make sure the preauthorization is done.
