If you are new to the Cathedral and would like to become a member, please

titled “I would like to become a member of the Cathedral.” This card can be

All children age 3 and up are welcome to attend Sunday School. They are
dismissed to their rooms after the Collect of the Day and rejoin the
congregation in time for Communion.

The music rehearsal for the Sunday School pageant will begin immediately
following the voluntary. The children will gather by the grand piano in front of
the Rood Screen. The rehearsal will last 15 minutes.


Candlelight Vespers is offered at the cathedral on Thursdays at 6 pm
October through March. The service is based on the ancient monastic rite
sung at the close of the day. Led by the cathedral choir, the service is sung in
its entirety. It is a time for reflection and recollection in which you can be
restful in the presence of God and delight in the serenity of the cathedral’s
surroundings. Please join us at the end of the work day for a beautiful,
contemplative half-hour service of chant, silence, and candlelight.
Choral Evensong is offered at 4:30 pm on the third Sunday of the month.
The next service of Choral Evensong will be on November 16. PLEASE NOTE
that in December, Choral Evensong will be replaced by the Candlelight Carol
Service, which will be offered on Sunday, December 21 at 7:30 pm.
Prayer Circle

The Prayer Circle prays daily for the work of the Cathedral and of the Diocese,
remembering especially our Bishop and our Rector. To request new

Serving Community

"A Working Group On Serving Community, reporting to the Bishop is one of
the results arising out of the recently concluded ‘Unsynods.’ Its Mission is “to
engage one another and those around us in fulfilling Christ’s mission in
service…” It is intended that “all congregations of the Anglican Diocese of
Calgary are to be actively engaged in service to the community in order to
assist those in need.” It is understood that we at the Cathedral, are already
involved in several outreach ventures, but there could be many more
unidentified opportunities to be of service!
As a member of the Working Group, Michael Prior, at a recent meeting, has
invited the Cathedral Corporation and Parish Council to give thought to the
many elements, within both the internal and external environments of our
Cathedral body, that together form our ‘community.’ It is intended that early
in the New Year we will gather to share and collect our thoughts. Having then
focused on our community and its needs we can then engage in action
planning to address the needs that we, as a collective congregation, have the
necessary skills and other resources to address.

The Stephen Lewis Foundation will present the premiere of the film African
Grandmothers TRIBUNAL - seeking justice at the frontlines of the AIDS crisis,
on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Theatre Junction Grand. Doors will open at

Couples Retreat
