Greenway Health Highlights Care Connectivity Innovations, Announces
New Development Center During Health IT Leadership Summit in Atlanta
Expanding health IT innovator adds office, new jobs to accelerate growth
Carrollton, GA — Nov. 19, 2014 — Greenway Health™, a leading health information technology solutions provider,
has announced plans to open a new Atlanta technology development center in January to continue to fuel
Greenway’s momentum in delivering advanced solutions that improve population health and providers’ efficiency
and strength. The center is part of an aggressive recruitment initiative that will fill hundreds of new positions, in
particular the company’s innovation and service areas.
The formal announcement by Greenway® was made as part of Atlanta’s annual Health IT Leadership Summit,
sponsored by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
Greenway Health has been an active participant of the summit since it began in 2010.
“The state of Georgia — and the metro Atlanta area in particular — are ground zero for some of the greatest
innovations coming out of the health IT industry,” said Greenway Health CEO Tee Green. “Greenway is privileged to
work with TAG, area chambers and universities to attract the best and brightest to our expanding team. Together,
we have the opportunity to have a significant impact on healthcare nationwide.”
Robin Hackney, Greenway Health chief marketing officer, noted that the new Atlanta development office is but one
example of the growth of Carrollton-based Greenway Health, which currently has more than 600 full-time
employees in Georgia and over 1,600 total. The new development center will bring approximately 150 new jobs to
Georgia. Greenway expects to have a total of 1,800 or more employees across its locations by Sept. 30, 2015, the
end of its current fiscal year. This growth is on top of the 250 employees hired in Georgia alone during Greenway’s
2014 fiscal year.
Greenway Health also announced today plans for on-site recruiting events Dec. 2 and 3 in Birmingham, AL, and Dec.
10, 11 and 12 in Carrollton, GA, with the goal of filling more than 100 positions, particularly in its growing clinically
driven revenue cycle management™ service.
Innovations to Connect Care, People
Shantanu Paul, Greenway Health executive vice president of development, discussed a number of recent and
upcoming innovations from Greenway Health all designed to improve productivity, care coordination and
effectiveness through seamless data flow or “liquidity” among providers, patients and payers. “Interoperability and
ease of use are the foundation for improving how care is delivered, what it costs and how it impacts people’s lives,”
Paul noted. “One example of how we’re being recognized for that is our latest PrimeMOBILE solution for Windows,
Android and iOS, which just won a national design award from the 2014 U.S. Mobile and App Design Awards
program.”
Paul also reported on the ongoing success of Greenway Health’s relationship with Walgreens, which is now using a
Greenway-based electronic health record in the pharmacies of each of its 8,200-plus stores nationwide to track
immunizations and health testing results. “During this fall’s busy flu season, Walgreens has delivered over 120,000
immunizations a day on many days,” he said. “They can share that information back to the patient’s primary
physician, if the patient wishes, so this expands access to care while also improving coordination of that care.”

Hackney noted that Greenway Health is considered a leader in fostering adoption of national standards for
interoperability, and is an active member of initiatives designed to make secure data sharing more seamless. For
example, Greenway is a founding member of the non-profit CommonWell Health Alliance, which today announced a
nationwide expansion of services that simplify a critical element of data-sharing across providers and systems —
ensuring that information is for the correct person. Greenway and some of its customers participated in the original
pilot project, and the company is among five CommonWell members that have already signed formal agreements to
offer its customers the service nationwide.
“We’re extremely proud to continue to help drive the industry towards creating universal access to healthcare data
with an end goal of empowering consumers, helping providers operate at peak efficiency and effectiveness and,
ultimately, improving the health of the entire population,” Hackney stated. “That’s why Greenway Health exists, and
it’s what drives us.”
