INFORMATION FOR BOTH TRIALS:
DIRECTIONS:
From Kirbyville, TX
From Highway 96 in Kirbyville go east on FM 82 for about 2 miles
and turn right on County Road 3076. The Windsong Acres (1270 CR
3076) will be on the right about ¼ of a mile from FM 82.
ENTRY FEE: $23.00 per entry for all stakes each days. No charge
for Best of Open, Best of FC or Absolute Run. Make checks payable
to Houston Dachshund Club. Be sure to bring your dog’s entry
information with you. Dogs must be present on the grounds at the
time entries close to be officially entered. Owner is responsible for
correct information on the entry forms. You may copy the enclosed
form if you need more forms.
RUNNING ORDER: Classes will run concurrently with OAAD &
FCD, followed by OAAB & FCB, as the field(s) becomes available,
then Best Open, Best Field Champion, and Absolute. Be prepared for
this running order. The committee reserves the right to make changes
to the running order to expedite the event.
Please clean up after your dogs and do not leave filled baggies on the
grounds. The event committee and landowners ask that exhibitors
remove their trash from the grounds each night.
All dogs must be on lead or in secure ex-pens/crates at all times
except when under instruction of the judges during the running of the
stakes. It is strongly suggested that NO DOGS BE LEFT
UNATTENDED IN EXPENS.
DRESS: It is recommended that sturdy shoes or boots and durable
clothing be worn. Bring appropriate gear as the trial will be run rain
or shine.
RAFFLE: The Houston Dachshund Club will have an incredible
raffle with many awesome items that have been generously donated
by Club members and Dachshund Fanciers. If you wish to bring raffle
items to donate, please do so. Your generosity is appreciated.
CAMPING: There will be RV and overnight camping available on
the grounds at a cost of $10.00 per night without electric $20.00 per
night with limited electric hook up. Electric hook ups will be given to
working club members and judges first. No dumping of holding tanks
allowed on the grounds. Anyone wanting camping reservations must
make reservations by contacting Ken Hagmueller at 214-263-8004 or

MEALS:
Hot breakfast and lunch will be offered by the Houston Dachshund
Club. The price of the meals will be $11.00 per day, $5.00 for
breakfast and $6.00 for lunch. There will be coffee available with
purchase of breakfast. The club may have a few drinks for sale during
lunch. But it would be best if participants bring their own drinks.
Exhibitors should email reservations for meals to Karen Murray at
[email protected] by December 15, 2014. Reservations are
required if you are planning on eating meals at the trials.
We would appreciate dessert donations for anyone that can help out
with sweets!
PRACTICE ON THE GROUNDS:
Practice in the back grounds will be allowed only on Friday 12/26/14
after 2:00pm. A cost of $4.00 dog must be paid prior to entering the
field for practice. A handler will be allowed to take one dog at a time
into the field for practice. No practice after dark and any rabbits killed
or injured by a dog or person are $40 each. The committee reserves
the right to cancel the practice session.

We will ring in 2015 at about 8pm.

And we’ll get to bed early to be ready for great hunting

rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this
event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event
and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies. I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors,
governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event,
harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or
about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim, and I (we) further
agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility
