This year we have six major projects we are assisting with – property for a church in Ireland, equipping an Senior Pastor orphanage in Bali, remodeling a facility for reaching Muslims in Dearborn, MI, purchasing land in Uganda, and broadcasting the Gospel through our TV and Radio Ministry. We are also giving $3000 to each of our own missionaries sent out of CBT who are still actively serving in missions. Our total goal is $121,000. Any excess funds that come in beyond this goal will be given to Gideon’s International for the purchase and distribution of Bibles worldwide. Dr. Mike Frazier When you think about the fact that our Christmas Mission Offering is over and above our tithes and our regular mission giving, the $121,000 almost seems unreachable. And yet we know that with God nothing is impossible. As we all do our part and give sacrificially in order for all these needs to be met, not only will we be a blessing and encouragement to each of these missionaries, but we will be blessed by God for our generosity. Please use the designated green envelopes in your packet of tithing envelopes to give toward this year’s Christmas Mission Offering. By faith let’s trust God that we will surpass our goal and accomplish much for the cause of Christ. ADULT MEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUE Fridays, December 12 thru midMarch, 6:30-9:30 pm, at the J. Thanksgiving Eve Service November 26, 7 pm Welcome! ! ME... THE PEOPLE CA EVENTS rld Over the years as I have matured into adulthood, my perspective of Christmas has changed. As a young boy, I viewed Christmas as a time to receive gifts from others, but now as an adult I view Christmas as a time to give to others. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The older I get, the more I realize the truth of that statement. Christmas is a time in which we find ways to be a blessing to others. One of the ways we do that here at CBT is through our Christmas Mission Offering. Last month they both invited their parents to go to the evangelistic camp for parents. Daniela’s father went and so did Natalia’s mom and dad. The two girls were also there serving on the camp staff. The result: Daniela’s dad responded to the invitation, but after the gospel was explained, decided he needed more time to consider it. Natalia’s mom was saved, and although her father was not, they were both in church last Sunday. Our consolation is that the seed was planted and now God can give the increase. The cool thing is that Daniela and Natalia have completed the cycle: They were reached with the Gospel, connected to church so they could grow, and now are serving as salt and light in their community! By the way, of the 398 parents who attended camp, 105 made professions of faith.
