We have developed this event guide to provide you with all the information you could possibly need to make your experience at
the event as FANTASTIC as possible! You and 12,000 of your newest friends will be part of the #Happiest 5k on the Planet!
Race Packs
All Color Runners should already have their race packs – whether they
purchased from an Adventure HQ store or online! If you ordered your
race pack online but have not yet received it please contact
[email protected] as soon as possible.
Your race bib is your ticket for entry to the run so PLEASE PLEASE
PLEASE don’t forget it! REMEMBER you MUST have the contact details
of a person we can call in the event of an emergency written clearly on
the back of the bib!
If you have lost your race bib, please come to our Information Desk
from 7.15am with a valid form of ID and proof of purchase and we will
make sure you don’t miss out on the #Happiest5K! Don’t worry - your
original bib number will be voided as soon as you receive a second bib,
so no one else will be able to enter The Color Run using your original
bib.
Once you’ve completed the event you’ll receive your pack of color at
the finish line to take part in The Finish Festival!!

COLORFUL KIT
We will have some sweet items for sale at our Store on event day!
The Store accepts the following forms of payment CASH,
DEBIT/CREDIT CARD. There is no minimum spend for card payments
so Happy shopping!
The range will include T-shirts, socks, wrist bands, sunglasses and of course the famous Color Run Tutus!
WEATHER
Runner safety is our highest priority. Stay tuned to your email, the website and our Facebook page this week for updates regarding any
event related news about weather conditions.
EVENT DAY SCHEDULE
Arrive at the start line no later then 8:00am on 29th November. Leave plenty of time to get prepped by stretching, laughing and meeting new
friends. The event will start at 8:30am sharp. The start chute will stay open for 1 hour, so don’t worry too much if you’re
stuck in traffic, the party will be waiting for you!

GETTING THERE
The event will take place at The Dubai Autodrome in Motor City.
Please note: There are no lockers or bag drop facilities so arrive ready to run and leave your valuables at home.
PARKING
There are 2 car parks that you can all park in, walking
distance from The Dubai Autodrome. Please park in these
designated car parks to avoid parking fines. There is ample
parking for all 12,000 of you!
We will have plenty of traffic marshals on the roads to direct
you to where you need to be.
We strongly advise against parking on the street in any
way that could be deemed illegal. The Police will be out
to keep everyone safe and happy, but also will fine any
cars not parked correctly.
We recommend you keep an old towel or bin liner in
your car for the journey home to avoid turning your car
seats colorful!
TAXIS
If you are travelling by taxi we will have a taxi zone on the
corner of The Dubai Autodrome for when the event finishes.
The traffic marshals and The Color Run Team will be pointing
you in the right direction!

START LINE
Color Runners will gather at the start line and be divided into approximately 1,000
person waves. A wave will leave approximately every three to six minutes. The wave
cuts are random so make sure your team is all together if you want to run and enjoy the
color madness together. Once in your wave, gather according to running speed.
Remember the event is not timed so there is no reason to go CRAZY elbow jostling for
position. Take your time and enjoy the experience with your friends and family!
PLEASE make sure your bib number is attached and visible on the FRONT of your shirt
on event day. This is how you will be identified as a Color Runner at the start/finish line.
Teams may run in a group or separately, it is completely your choice. Please ensure you
stay hydrated and look out for the Al Ain water station on course and at the finish!
WALKING, RUNNING AND DANCING ON COURSE
The event is for everyone. Some people will run the entire 5k. Some will walk it.
Some might even dance the 5k. In our experience, most participants will do a little
bit of all three on the course. In order to accommodate this glorious combination of
activities on course we have just ONE simple rule…
Runners on the RIGHT. Walkers & dancers on the LEFT.

COLOR ZONES
Each kilometre of the event is associated with a designated color: yellow , red, blue and pink. As you hit the COLOR ZONES at each kilometre,
you will be blitzed by our volunteers, sponsors, and staff with color. The color is a special recipe of magical color dust. All products are 100%
natural, safe and food grade quality.
To keep it out of your eyes our “certified” Color Throwers try to aim low as you pass by. Some Color Runners opt to wear glasses or goggles for
their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths. We certainly recommend that our Color Runners wear sunglasses or some form of
eye protection especially the kids! We will have plenty of The Color Run sunglasses for sale at the mercandise tent!
Please do not completely stop in the Color Zones. This will create a bottleneck and problems for runners behind you. We cross our colorful
hearts to try and get as much or as little color on you as you like!

THE FINISH FESTIVAL
The fun isn’t over when you cross the finish line. In fact it’s only just begun. Friends and family are welcome to meet up with Color
Runners in the general festival areas. Grab an Al Ain water and your Color Packet, give yourself a pat on the back for running a 5k! Then
come join the post event party! After you pass under the finish arch you will be directed to the Finish Festival which is where all
the post run fun takes place.
Color Throws
Every 15 minutes, we will countdown to a mass Color Throw. This creates the
infamous Color Cloud. Join us as we welcome all Color Runners to the finish Festival.
Everyone throwing colors into the air at the same time creates a spectacular sight.
This is where you’ll want to use the color pack you received as you crossed the finish
line. Hopefully you were able to resist throwing it for this long. Trust us, it’s worth
the wait.
The Store
The Store will be set up in the festival area where you can grab your official
merchandise before or after the run. You can pay by cash and card debit/credit. You
can expect t-shirts, singlets, sunglasses, caps and socks.!
Food
There will be plenty of healthy food and drink options available on sale in the Finish
Festival area to help your refuel!

EVENT DAY FAQ REMINDERS
Do I need to be some sweet ole’ runner to do this?
Oh my goodness, NO! There are plenty of other great 5ks out
there to test speed and performance. We’re all about a color
crazy day with friends and family. You can run, walk, crawl, or
cartwheel it if you wish!
How strict is the “white clothing dress code” for the start of
the event?
We will have white clothing police inspectors located throughout
the event. You will be arrested and put in jail
if more than 11.8% of your person is a hue other than white....honest!
How is the color administered? Will I be hurt, maimed, or killed?
Ha ha ha! We love this one. No, it doesn’t hurt at all. It is
like getting into a colored flour food fight. You’re sure?
Yes. We are 100% sure.
How does the color affect the inside of cars?
You went all out, you’re covered in color and if you don’t take
precautions, your car will be too. Be sure to visit the “Cleaning
Zone” before you leave the event site. Bring something (towels,
plastic, garbage bags, etc.) to protect the interior of your car
to cover the seats before you sit down.
Will the color ruin clothes or running shoes?
The color mostly washes out after the event. However, as with
anything dirty, the sooner the gear gets washed the better. Dust
off all excess powder before washing with water. Wash your
colored gear separately and use cold water. We suggest wearing items
that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. If you would like to
preserve the color in your running shirt, we suggest spraying it
with vinegar and ironing it when you get home. This is the most
likely way the shirt will retain its coloring.
Are cameras and phones safe to have in the color zones?
Our event photographers are totally fine shooting from a
medium distance (5-8 metres). If you want to get shots right
in the midst of the color we recommend covering cameras/
phones with plastic wrap.
Is the run timed?
The run is not a timed event. Runners tend to take their sweet
time out there and we realised no one really cares about their
speed :) We suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time.

RULES AND SAFETY
➊ If you are running with small children, please watch and direct them through the event.
➋ If you are concerned at all with any part of the experience, feel free to wear safety glasses, a bandana, or a dust mask.
➌ Please follow the directions provided by event officials and volunteers.
➍ Above all, please be courteous and respectful to everyone around you.
➎ Walkers/Dancers stay to the left , Runners to the right.
RUNNING WITH CHILDREN
With thousands of Color Runners in attendance on event day there is always the possibility of our smaller Color Runners getting separated
from their parents. If you are running with your children (then you are the coolest parents ever!) and the kids will no doubt have a great
time. Just in case, we recommend that you write your mobile number on your child’s wristband in the unlikely occurrence that they get
separated from you. That way we can get in touch with you should we find ourselves with some new small friends at the Kids Zone.
Lost Children - If you do find a lost child please bring them to the KIDS ZONE and our team will then work to find their parents.
