North Coast services
NSW TrainLink operates three daily train services to
the NSW North Coast connecting Sydney with Grafton,
Casino and Brisbane. Coaches connect from selected
services at Broadmeadow for The Great Lakes, at
Wauchope for Port Macquarie and at Casino for Lismore,
Byron Bay, Tweed Heads, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
NSW TrainLink coaches connect at Grafton for Glen Innes
and Moree, and also for Maclean, Yamba and Ballina.
NSW TrainLink’s train and coach network
operates to over 360 destinations linking the
NSW Outback with Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra,
Melbourne and regional NSW.
Our trains carry you in air-conditioned comfort
offering a choice of first or economy class seats
with a buffet car providing a range of tasty, hot
and cold meals and beverages. For your added
comfort, sleeping berths are available on the
overnight Sydney to Brisbane, Casino to Sydney,
Sydney to Melbourne and Melbourne to Sydney
services. So sit back, relax and let NSW TrainLink
take the worry out of getting you to your
destination.
Outback NSW services
The Broken Hill service operates weekly from Sydney to
Broken Hill.
Country NSW services
Central West
NSW TrainLink operates a daily train service to Dubbo
with connecting coaches to Broken Hill, Lightning Ridge,
Bourke and Brewarrina. Coaches also connect at Lithgow
for Mudgee and at Orange for Grenfell and Parkes.
New England North West
NSW TrainLink operates a daily train service to Moree
and Armidale with connecting coaches to Tenterfield
and Inverell.
Sydney services
Let NSW TrainLink take you to Sydney for that
romantic getaway, shopping extravaganza, and family
fun adventure, or to spend some quality time with
family and friends.
Canberra, Melbourne &
South services
NSW TrainLink operates three daily train services from
Sydney to Canberra. Coaches connect at Canberra for
Bombala and Eden on the South Coast via Cooma.
Coaches will also take you to Cootamundra to connect
with the NSW TrainLink service to Melbourne.
NSW TrainLink operates two daily train services
from Sydney to Melbourne. Coaches connect at
Cootamundra for Mildura, Condobolin, Young, Dubbo,
Bathurst and Tumbarumba. Coaches also connect at
Wagga Wagga for Echuca and Griffith, and depart
from Albury for Echuca, Yarrawonga and Cobram.
Once a week, NSW TrainLink operates a train service
to Griffith and return.

One of the oldest towns in NSW with something for all holiday-makers
to enjoy. There are kilometres of beautiful surf beaches, sheltered coves,
magnificent farming country and lush hinterland.
Port Macquarie is also famous for its water activities, seafood restaurants
and cafés, great shopping, museums and galleries. Visit the Regional Gallery
at The Glasshouse which showcases high quality exhibitions featuring works
from well known Australian and international artists and collections – a

Nestled in the Manning Valley is Old Bar, a town famous for its Beach
Festival, held on the October long weekend. The festival celebrates all that is

Coffs Coast
The Coffs Coast is home to reef and game fishing, white-water rafting,
horse riding and stunning rainforests which are waiting to be explored.
Beautiful pristine beaches are linked by impressive headlands and all offer
magical coastline views.
Take the kids to the Tabatinga Entertainment Centre and Café, a safe and
friendly family entertainment that’s so much fun the kids won’t want to
leave – winner of the 2011 NSW North Coast Tourism Awards.
A must see is the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre which showcases an interactive
display giving you a glimpse into the rainforest environment. Take a walk
along the elevated boardwalk and enjoy the views overlooking the valley –

From dolphin show presentations to kisses from seals, the award-winning
Pet Porpoise Pool is a great attraction for all the family. The area is also
famous for the award-winning Butterfly House, maze and tearooms. This is
a great opportunity to walk among hundreds of live butterflies in an indoor
subtropical rainforest setting.

From Iluka in the north through Yamba, Maclean and Grafton to Corindi
Beach, the Valley has a remarkable climate. The Clarence is famous for its
fishing, boating, canoeing, white-water rafting, rowing, surfing, water skiing,
sailing, swimming, snorkelling and diving. During Jacaranda time Grafton
bursts into colour and the valley comes to life with brilliant shades of purple.
Far North Coast
Byron Bay is famous for its pristine beaches, lush tropical rainforests and

Day 1 – Sunday (D) Depart Sydney Central Station at 7.11am on board
the Casino train. On arrival at Macksville, you will be met by your host from
the Mid Coast Motel and transferred to your accommodation, your home
for the next six nights.
Day 2 – Monday (B, L, D) Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the beautiful
Hastings River before visiting Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberry Farm.
After a leisurely lunch you will be given a guided tour before heading home.
Day 3 – Tuesday (B, L, D) After breakfast, travel through the Bellinger
Valley to Dorrigo Mountain and Dangar Falls for some spectacular views.
This afternoon visit the Rainforest Centre and take a walk on the Scenic
Skywalk which overlooks the valley. The tour continues to the Honey Place
with an opportunity to sample and purchase some of its local produce.
Day 4 – Wednesday (B, L, D) Following breakfast travel to Bowraville
and visit the renowned Folk Museum, home to a vast collection of
memorabilia which records and commemorates the development of the
Nambucca Valley. The tour continues to Taylors Arm to visit the famous Pub
With No Beer.
Day 5 – Thursday (B, L, D) Coffs Harbour is today’s destination. Enjoy
the Sea Circus Show at the Pet Porpoise Pool followed by a visit to the
Carobana Factory. After lunch, tour around the sights before making your
way back to the motel.

This tour winds its way through historic towns situated around the
Clarence River and the Coffs Coast. Enjoy a 1940s-style passenger ferry
cruise from Yamba to Iluka and be amazed at the old-style architecture.

Day 1 – Sunday (D) Depart Sydney Central Station at 7.11am on board
the Casino train. On arrival at Grafton, you will be met by your host from
the Hilldrop Motor Inn and transferred to your accommodation, your
home for the next five nights.

Day 2 – Monday (B, D) Today you head north-east of Grafton to the
twin towns of Yamba and Iluka at the mouth of the Clarence River. Trace
the river as it winds through sugar cane fields, beef cattle country and
lovely rural scenery. On arrival at Yamba, board the quaint 1940s-style
ferry for the crossing to Iluka with lunch at the local hotel. After lunch
(own expense), return to Yamba for a scenic tour and visit the famous
Blue Pools at Angourie. Return to Grafton with a stop at the Ferry Park
Visitors Centre with a chance to pick up a souvenir of your day.
Day 3 – Tuesday (B, D) It’s time to explore the town. Grafton, with
its tree-lined streets and graceful old buildings, is one of Australia’s most
beautiful rural cities. Visit a cattle auction, historic Schaeffer House, the
magnificent Christ Church Cathedral and the Grafton Lapidary Club to
watch jewellery being made. In the afternoon, cross the river on the local
car ferry and meander through the picturesque countryside to Maclean.

Day 4 – Wednesday (B, D) Coffs Harbour and its tourist attractions
are today’s destination. The journey takes you south through Woolgoolga
to the Clog Barn with a stroll through the miniature Dutch village. Then
it’s off to Coffs Harbour Jetty, Sealy Lookout for panoramic views of the
town, the Big Banana and Botanic Gardens. Return to Grafton via the
Wedding Bells Forest and the Orara Valley Way.
Day 5 – Thursday (B, D) Today you journey to the Coach House at
Nymboida and explore the Museum of Interesting Things. Visit Shannon
Creek Dam before arriving at Glenreagh for lunch (own expense). This
afternoon visit Iwin Talls winery for tasting and an informative talk.
Day 6 – Friday (B) After breakfast, you will be transferred to Grafton
Railway Station in time to catch the 5.15am train to Sydney, arriving at
3.39pm.

With 300 kilometres of spectacular coastline, subtropical
rainforests and vast winding rivers, the Northern Rivers is a place

tour provides the ideal way to discover the region.

Day 1 – Wednesday Depart Sydney Central Station at 7.11am on board
the Casino train that connects at Grafton with the NSW TrainLink coach
to Ballina. On arrival, make your way to the Ballina Byron Motor Inn, your
home for the next seven nights.
Day 2 – Thursday (B, D) Enjoy a tour of the local Ballina area. Visit the
Naval Museum, Las Balsa Raft, Trawler Harbour and other local points of
interest. Lunch today is at the Slipway Hotel, Ballina (own expense). This
afternoon visit Thursday Tea Tree Plantation and Lennox Head to view the
red waters of Lake Ainsworth.
Day 3 – Friday (B, D) Today you travel north to Murwillumbah via the
tropical fruit and nut plateau of Knockrow and Bangalow. After lunch at
Tweed Heads (own expense), follow the coastline back to Ballina through
the towns of Kingscliff, Casuarina, Cabarita, Hastings Point and Brunswick
Heads.

Day 4 – Saturday (B, D) This morning travel through the cane fields of
Pimlico, one of the original sugar cane areas in the region. Continue on to
Wardell to iew Koalas in their natural habitat. Lunch is at the Lismore Workers
Club (own expense). This afternoon travel through the lush dairy country of
the “Rainbow Region” to Nimbin, famous for its alternate lifestyles.
Day 5 – Sunday (B, D) Today is at your leisure to enjoy Ballina. Take a
Richmond River cruise on the “Richmond Princess” (own expense), pick up
any last minute souvenirs or simply relax around the pool at your motel.

Day 6 – Monday (B, D) Byron Bay is today’s destination. Head north to
Broken Head with a visit to a local coffee plantation. Then it’s on to Byron
Bay Lighthouse – Australia’s most easterly point and an excellent vantage

migration. Return home through the lush rainforest of the Byron hinterland
with a stop at the Macadamia Centre.

Day 1 – Tuesday (D) Depart Sydney Central Station at 7.11am on board
the Casino train connecting with the NSW TrainLink coach to Tweed Heads.
On arrival, you will be met by your host from Bombora Resort and escorted
to your accommodation, your home for the next seven nights.
Day 2 – Wednesday (B, D) Today head to Surfers Paradise on the Gold
Coast with a visit to the tallest residential tower in the world. Enjoy the
views from the Observation Deck on the 77th floor or stroll down Cavill
Avenue to take some fantastic photos. This afternoon includes a stop at
Jupiters Casino and Pacific Fair for some great shopping.
Day 3 – Thursday (B, D) Cruise the Brisbane River to South Bank on
the Rivercat before joining the coach for a familiarisation tour of the city’s
colourful convict past. After lunch (own expense) there will be plenty of
time to explore the shops in Queen Street Mall. Tonight enjoy a sumptuous
dinner followed by a fun night of song and laughter.

Day 4 – Friday (B, L, D) Journey along the coastal strip to Sanctuary
Cove for a relaxing cruise of the tranquil waterways. Lunch today is at the
Paradise Point Bowls Club with time to explore the luxurious marina village
before returning home.
Day 5 – Saturday (B, D) Visit Carrara Markets, the biggest outdoor
markets in Australia. Browse in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy free
entertainment. These markets are a bargain hunter’s paradise with over
500 stalls ranging from fresh produce, arts and crafts to leather goods,
homewares and much, much more.
Day 6 – Sunday (B, D) Today is at your leisure. Take a walk along the
beach and try some fresh local fish and chips. Book a day tour to Currumbin
Wildlife Park or to Sea World, one of the many theme parks on the Gold
Coast (own expense).
Day 7 – Monday (B, D) After breakfast travel to the World Heritagelisted Lamington National Park. Take in the beauty of the Natural Arch,
lush rainforests, ancient trees and spectacular views with a chance to feed
the beautiful rainbow lorikeets. This afternoon return home through the
picturesque Tweed Valley near the base of Mt Warning – the first peak on
the mainland in Australia to be touched by the rising sun.
Day 8 – Tuesday (B) After breakfast, you will be transferred to the
NSW TrainLink coach stop in time to catch your return service departing at

Booking Conditions
Holiday Package/Itinerary Booking Agreement
Amendments
The following terms and conditions constitute an agreement between
you and NSW TrainLink. By booking a holiday package/trip with us,
you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of this
agreement. Therefore please read the following agreement carefully.
Modifications of a confirmed booking may result in you incurring
an amendment fee of AUD$30 in addition to any costs charged by
operators. Modification of a confirmed booking can not be made less
than seven (7) days prior to the date of travel. An amendment is a
change to an existing booking with the same inclusions. A transfer to
another package may be treated as a cancellation, in which case the
cancellation fees set out above will apply.
Travel on all NSW TrainLink train and coach services is subject to certain
additional Conditions of Carriage which you accept when you travel
with NSW TrainLink. The full terms and conditions may be obtained
from the NSW TrainLink website at nswtrainlink.info. By booking
travel with NSW TrainLink, you agree to be bound by these terms
and conditions. Packages are quoted in Australian dollars inclusive of
Commonwealth Government of Australia Goods and Services Tax (GST),
and apply from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2015. Packages and prices are
subject to change without notice.
Fitness for Travel
Before making a reservation, you must advise NSW TrainLink if you are
ill, injured or have a medical condition which may make it unsafe for
you or other guests travelling on board our services or services supplied
by our third party operators. The full terms and conditions of the
NSW TrainLink Travel Policy may be obtained from your booking agent
and can also be found on NSW TrainLink website at nswtrainlink.info.
Bookings and Payments Conditions
For bookings made more than 45 days prior to travel which include
accommodation or a NSW TrainLink Package, a non-refundable deposit
of $100 per person or 10% of total booking or deposit as required by
third party operator, is required within seven (7) days of us confirming
your reservation. Full payment for your holiday must be made at least
45 days prior to travel. For bookings made less than 45 days prior to
travel, full payment of your holiday must be made within 3 days of us
confirming your reservation (unless otherwise stated at the time of
booking.)
Different Booking and Payment Conditions may apply to special
offers. These will be advised at the time booking. Bonds or credit card
imprints may be required by accommodation providing for security on
telephone, mini bar or other accommodation services. NSW TrainLink
reserves the right to cancel any booking for failure to meet the
conditions as outlined above.
Adult, Concession and Children Fares
Adult rail fares vary according to the season and are not included in
accommodation or tour prices. Concession and children rail fares are
at 50% of the full adult high season fare. These need to be added
when obtaining a quote. Infant and child rates vary according to each
package. Rates are available on application or from the NSW TrainLink
website at nswtrainlink.info.
Cancellation Fees
The following fees apply in the event of cancellation and in addition to
any fees which may be imposed by the operator.
• More than 45 days before departure: Loss of any deposit which has
been paid.
• 15-45 days before departure: 25% of total packages.
• 7-14 days prior to departure: 50% of total package cost.
• Less than 7 days before departure and after departure: up to 100%
of total cost.
Accommodation
All rooms are subject to availability. Triple room rates and child rates
provided on application and subject to availability. The third bed may
be a ‘foldaway’ or ‘rollaway’ bed for triple share rooms. Alternative
hotels of similar standard to those outlined in packages within the
itineraries may be used without notice. The star rating system for hotels
is provided as an indication only, and are subject to change without
notice. If arriving before or after standard check-in times please advise
operator or accommodation provider and any additional charge to be
paid direct.

Maps and Photos are schematic representations and not geographically
accurate. Hotel room photographs may not be specific to the actual
room occupied.
Touring
NSW TrainLink does not own, operate or control third party suppliers
of services (eg. airlines, hotels/accommodation, tour operators,
transportation companies, restaurants, hire car operators.) To the
extent permitted by the Commonwealth of Australia and its States
laws, NSW TrainLink is not responsible for any loss, accident, delay or
irregularity whatsoever resulting from a third party supplier’s acts or

NSW TrainLink reserves the right to amend or cancel tours at any time.
Departure and Arrival Times
NSW TrainLink does not guarantee departure or arrival times or the
operation of any service. NSW TrainLink is not liable for any delay,
Including without limitation, any failure to meet with connections with
other services.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is strongly recommended. Your consultant can arrange
this for you.
Luggage
Guests must abide by the following luggage limitations depending on
the transport options to be utilised in their holiday packages;
NSW TrainLink train and coach services: Refer to Luggage section of
the NSW TrainLink website at nswtrainlink.info or stated in your ticket
wallet.
Other Services: Baggage is entirely at ‘owner’s risk’, some third party
operators have strict luggage requirements. Check with your consultant
at the time of booking.
Refunds
Lost rail tickets are non refundable.
Unused trip/holiday/package components are non refundable. Claims
for refunds will be subject to a minimum processing fee of AUD$50.
Refunds and substitutions are offered with the express understanding
that the receipt by the customer is waiver of additional remedies.
No refunds will be payable in connection with airline or train delays,
unused services, or other acts beyond the control of NSW TrainLink.
