It will feature static and working demonstrations (weather permitting) of the latest sprayer and GPS technology from Berthoud, Househam, Hardi, Horsch, Patchwork and TeeJet. NROSO points will be available The Removal of ‘Grandfather Rights’ for Pesticide Users ♦ Were you born before 31st December 1964? ♦ Do you currently apply pesticides (e.g. weed killers or slug pellets) on land that you either own or rent? ♦ Do you purchase those pesticides from an agro-chemical supplier? ♦ Do you not hold a City & Guilds NPTC pesticide qualification such as PA1, PA2 or PA6? If you can answer “yes” to these four questions, whilst you are currently probably operating within the law, as from 26th November 2015 and under European legislation, you will no longer be able to do so, and will need to hold a certificate (PA1 & PA2) or the new Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides (replacing Grandfathers Rights). NRoSO Roadshows 2014 Enclosed with this newsletter is a booking form for our NRoSO Roadshows. We are running several courses this year which are a major source of update training for sprayer operators, keeping you up to date with the latest legislation and best practice regarding pesticide application. This years topics include: keeping water clean, an update of the Sustainable Use Directive, Product Authorisations and Insecticides. 10 CPD points are available (plus 6 CPD points for BASIS members). They are an informative, interactive training session, run by Jim Wright who is a qualified LANTRA instructor. There will be a meal provided at the end of each session. NOW STOCKING….
