Sub- themes: The sub-themes include but are not limited to the following: n Responsive theories, approaches and ideas n Responsive Architecture and Planning n Responsive Housing n Responsive Art and Aesthetics in the Built Environment n Responsive Construction industries n Responsive Governance for Cities, Towns and Rural Areas n Responsive Infrastructure for the Built Environment n Responsive Economies for Cities, Towns and Rural Areas n Responsive Environmental Issues (Further details can be found on the conference website: http://jedm.oauife.edu.ng/ ) Conference Venue: Ile-Ife and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria Ile-Ife (also known as Ife) is one of the major cities in Nigeria and it is located in Osun State in the South Western part of Nigeria. The city was a settlement of substantial size between the 9th and 12th centuries. Ilé-Ifè is known worldwide for its ancient and naturalistic bronze, stone and terracotta sculptures, which reached their peak of artistic expression between 1200 and 1400 A.D. Most of the great arts works of Ife can be found in major museums in Europe and America, including the natural history museum of London. Today a mid-sized city, Ile- Ife is home to the Obafemi Awolowo University and Natural History Museum of Nigeria. Most of the ancient artistic works of Ife are preserved in Ife museum of arts and Ife Pottery museum. Obafemi Awolowo University has received various awards as the most beautiful campus in Africa and its conference Centre, the venue of the conference is purpose built for international conferences with conference and seminar rooms, modern hotel with ensuite facilities. Abstract Submission: Authors interested in submitting papers are requested to send an abstract of 150 – 300 words and up to 5 keywords arranged in alphabetical order. Abstract should highlight the problem addressed by the research being reported, methodology and key findings of the study. Abstracts will be reviewed by two anonymous referees and only those authors of acceptable abstracts will be invited to submit full papers. Contacts: Submission and Publication of Full Papers: Full paper should not exceed 10 single- spaced pages including Tables, Figures and References using font 12 of Times New Romans of Microsoft Word format with margins of 2.5cm throughout the manuscript. Full paper is expected to contain introduction (highlighting the study rationale, problem and objectives), literature review, methodology, results of data analysis and discussion, and conclusions. Citations and reference list should use the APA style.
