years of use, or 2000 charge cycles.
The typical acid or gel battery is only
rated for 300-500 charge cycles. That
means in a period of 10 years a
lithium battery will offer 4-6 times
the life span, with little to no
maintenance, for only 2 - 2.5 times
the price. The numbers speak for
themselves, right now lithium is the
superior option for energy storage.
Despite the higher up-front cost
lithium batteries will not lose
efficiency over time as quickly. At
approximately 300 charge cycles a
gel or acid battery will start to lose
efficiency when your lithium battery
would still be working at maximum
