The Weatherford Polytechnic Research and Educational Center at St. Petersburg
State Polytechnic University performs general research and testing services and
studies for the company and our clients.
In 2012, Weatherford opened an auditorium at the Russian State University of Oil and
Gas n. a. I. M. Gubkin for employee, partner, specialist, and student training.
In 2014, Weatherford signed two memorandums of understanding with two Russian
universities. The first, signed with Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas,
establishes the Center of Joint Geological and Geophysical Studies and will promote
effective implementation of complex and integrated projects for the oil and gas
industry. The second, signed with Lomonosov Moscow State University, will facilitate
joint research operations in low-permeability reservoirs in Siberia.

We offer an extensive portfolio of mechanized rig equipment. Used to make up, break
down, and handle tubulars, these remotely operated systems take a proven technology—

TAML Level 4 multilateral installations. Our QuickCut™ casing-exit system can mill

FISHING SERVICES
Removing obstructions of all shapes and sizes from your wells efficiently
Wellbore obstructions, such as lost equipment and scale deposits, can erode your return
on investment. We leverage a global team of fishing and milling specialists along with a
diversified portfolio of fishing tools to remove obstructions efficiently, which minimizes
nonproductive time. We offer conventional and heavy-duty wireline fishing (HDWF) services,
which can retrieve large obstructions such as lost tool strings and braided cables.
WELL ABANDONMENT SERVICES
Making well abandonment a safer, cleaner, more efficient process
We ensure that wells slated for abandonment meet regulatory requirements
and pose no safety or environmental hazards. We combine proprietary
technology, complementary intervention equipment, and a global team of

COILED-TUBING TECHNOLOGIES
Maximizing economy, efficiency, and field results with conventional small-diameter
and specialized large-diameter conveyance
We offer coiled-tubing technologies and services for onshore and offshore
environments. Applications for our large-diameter (2 3/8-in. to 3 1/2-in.) coiled tubing
include directional and underbalanced drilling and fracturing. Our small-diameter
(1 1/4-in. to 2-in.) coiled tubing is highly effective for acidizing, cleanouts, downhole
conveyance, and thru-tubing. We also provide products related to coiled tubing, such
as skid and trailer units and a variety of pumpers.
THRU-TUBING SERVICES
Reducing well intervention costs and maximizing recovery

SAND CONTROL
Minimizing sand production with conventional and expandable sand screens
We begin with a thorough characterization of reservoir sand to help select a

Defining Service Quality
Human Resources
We have an ISO-certified integrated
management system that defines all
of our core processes. Our system
requires that we report all the jobs we
undertake and all incidents that occur
into the Weatherford Performance
Tracking System (WPTS). This enables
us to identify the causes of incidents—
and where we can take action—so
that we may better understand our
performance. By conducting frequent
management reviews of our processes,
we aim to continuously improve. We
are committed to keeping our clients
informed of our performance and
improvement activities.
While effective management of human
resources begins with hiring talented
individuals, it does not end there. We
recognize the integral role training and
competence assurance play in our ability
to meet client objectives and to ensure
the safety of our personnel. To that end,
we provide our personnel with extensive
technical and QHSSE training at facilities
in Russia and outside the country. We

The Weatherford HSSE system is
enacted through our 8 GEMS and 4
TENETS. These programs define our
core values and describe the steps we
take in helping to protect our people,
assets, and the communities in which
we work. As a result of these programs,
we continue to significantly reduce key
performance indicators relating to our
QHSSE performance. Through our
security program, we assess risks to our
people, plan for specific incidents, and
have the resources and processes in
place to quickly and effectively respond
to emergencies.
Product and Service Realization
We are well equipped to assess
the needs of our clients in Russia
and to provide them with valueadded operational support. As
well as possessing technical skills,
our employees here—the majority
of whom are Russian nationals—
have a solid understanding of the
local operating environment. Also
contributing to our product and
service delivery capabilities in Russia
is a global jobs history database
(part of the WPTS). It helps us
develop and apply best practices
in the field and identify personnel
with experience relevant to specific
