Entering Support Hours for an ISS Application – for Centre Based &
Home Based Services

Click the Primary Support Hours tab.

The secondary Care Week Profile tab will be selected to complete first.

Click the New button. A new screen will open

Click the glyph
to show a list of children entered in the secondary Children tab that was selected for the
purpose of this case.

Select the child from the list which you wish to enter details for using the > and it will be highlighted.
Click Ok. The new window will close and the selected child’s name will be shown.

Select the first day of the week the child attends care from the drop down menu.
- Select from the drop down the first day of the week the child attends care.
- Payment Type - Fill out the payment type from the drop down menu displayed below.
See ‘Help’ for definitions of payment types.

- Enter the time the child is expected to arrive in HH:MM format.
- Enter the time the child is expected to depart in HH:MM format.
- These are the additional carer hours (in HH:MM format) you are requesting for the child

- This is a greyed out default field indicating whether the child has or has not yet been
assessed by the NISSP.
- Enter the most appropriate circumstance from the drop down. This field refers to whether
or not the child’s attendance varies or differs from week to week for the specified day

Note : Repeat Step 7 for each day of the week the child attends, filling out all the relevant fields. You can
also copy the first entry and change the day. INSERT STEPS HERE

If you have more than one child associated with the application, go back to step 4, click the glyph
new box will open with all the children’s details from the secondary Children tab.

Select the next child in the list by clicking the arrow until the required child is highlighted. Click OK. The
window will close and the newly selected child’s name will appear on the screen.

Note: Repeat Steps 6 through 8 until all children associated with this ISS application have been entered for
all the attending days of care at the child care service.

To edit an entry
From the secondary Care Week Profile Summary Screen select the entry you want by clicking the arrow >
icon. Once highlighted, click the edit tab.

To delete an entry
Select the menu dropdown and selecting delete record. A box will pop up where you can select ‘OK’ to delete

the record or ‘Cancel’.

Once all records have been entered correctly the secondary Care Week Profile tab is complete.
Navigate to the next secondary Day Summary tab.

Select the day you wish to edit by selecting the arrow > icon. It will be highlighted.
ClickEdit . A new box will open.

The fields indicated below will already be populated. You will need to complete the other fields.
Note: Maximum carer hours will normally show 000000:00. See step 17 to enter this detail.

You will need to complete the following fields:
Tick this box if there is a shared care arrangement on this day. See ‘Help’ for further explanation.

This field should be equal to or less than the total hours requested up to a maximum of five (05:00) hours
or for a shared care arrangement total hours requested up to a maximum of eight (08:00) hours.
Home Based services can apply for up to a maximum of 10 (10:00) hours capacity payment without a

shared care arrangement.
Vacation care service can request up to a maximum of eight (08:00) hours without applying for an
exemption.

Additional hours over the 05:00 hour maximum per should be entered as exemption hours.
Provide comments in the ‘comments’ free text field indicated below.

Click Save
The window will close, returning you to the Secondary Day Summary screen.

Select the next record using the arrow > icon and repeat steps 13-17 for each record until complete.
Note: you must click Save after each one.

Navigate to the All Support Hours tab.

This tab is generated based on the information you entered under the Day Summary tab.
You do not need to do anything on this tab – it is for viewing only.
You have completed the Support Hours primary and secondary tabs.
