About VEI: About Department: Key Note Address: Vivekanadha Educational Institutions with 20 Colleges run by Angammal Educational Trust. Vidhya Rathna, Kongu Nattu Sathanaiyalar Prof. Dr. M. KARUNANITHI, B.Pharm., M.S., Ph.D., D.Litt., formed the trust in the year of 1987 motivated by the ideas of service to the people with focus on promoting technical and professional education for women of our country. Twenty three thousand girls from rural as well as urban areas from all over India have been provided with ample opportunities to pursue education at all levels in all disciplines. Vivekanandha Educational Institution is the only one of its kind in the whole of Asia. Since 1995 the Department of Computer Science and Applications is laid on computer fundamentals, programming, hardware, databases and advance technologies in computer science. Nearly 9506 computer books, 15 International Journals, 15 National Journal and 15 magazines are available in our Department library for the benefit of our students. The Department organized National conferences every year for the development of Dr. T. Senthil kumar M.Tech., Ph.D., About VICAS: Vivekananda College of Arts & Sciences for Women was started in the year 1995 with a view to provide quality education to young and aspiring women students. It is well established institute offering quality education in a nourishing environment to prepare the young generation for facing the challenges in future. It is affiliated to Periyar University and approved by AICTE and recognized u/s 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act. 1956. At present there are about 7500 students in the college, making it the largest women's college in south Asia. Our motto is "The hand that rocks the cradle should rule the world" and to achieve the same. Our chairman has established Vivekananda College of Arts and Sciences for Women to impart a life education with various career-oriented and nonconventional courses. It has gained wide recognition including the accreditation with the NAAC (NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL) in July 2009. Autonomous status is given to the college in 2011. students and faculty members. About the Conference: NCMC ’14 is the UGC Sponsored National Conference on Mobile and Cloud computing aims at promoting research and development activities.
