to. Just fill out a song request
form located at the Greeters
Desk. All of our DJ’s will be
glad to play them for you. We
hope to see everyone on the
dance floor on Saturday.

MESSAGE FROM THE
PRESIDENT
Another successful year for the Shag Club
is quickly coming to an end. We had a
great time in November at our Sock Hop
with fantastic music played by DJ Dennis
Murphy. Everyone was dressed in their
finest 50’s attire. There were plenty of
greasers’ and pony tailed, poodle skirted
ladies available to dance with. This party
was followed up the next week by the
introduction of a new DJ to the club, Kitty
Earls. Her debut performance was a big
success as all of our members danced the
night away to her music selections. Kitty
will defiantly be back next year to play
again on a Saturday night. Two more
events left in 2014, the Christmas Party
December 7 at the Marlin with music by
the Fantastic Shakers, and our final
blowout the New Years Eve Party at Inlet
Affairs with music by DJ Rodger
Holcomb. You should be planning to
attend both of these last events of the year.

I would like to thank every member of our
club for all of their help and support
during the year. If help is needed all I
have to do is ask and everyone is ready to
step up and support our club. No matter
where I go when I mention I belong to the
SSSC invariably I will be told what a great
club we are. Words like, warm and
friendly people who love the music and the
dance. So welcoming to anyone who is
new to the club. I am proud to say I am a
member of the SSSC and it is because of
each of you
NEW YEARS EVE PARTY
This year the New Years Eve Party is at
the same location as last year, Inlet Affairs
in Murrells Inlet, located across the street
from Drunken Jacks on Bus 17 at the
Marsh Walk. The meal will consist of
Heavy Hors d’oeuvres, Champagne toast
at the stroke of 12, followed by a hot
breakfast after midnight. Music will be
provided by DJ Rodger Holcomb. Watch
the ball drop in Time Square at Midnight
on the large-screen TV by the dance floor.
Make your reservations now as seating is
limited to 96 people. As of December 1st
we already have 82 people signed up so if
you are planning to go do not hesitate to
contact Allan Guazzo for reservations.
Price per person is $55 for members and
$65 for guests. A reservation form is
included with the newsletter.

NAMETAGS & CLUB
SHIRTS
The first Saturday of each
month is Club Shirt Night.
Wear your club shirt and you
will receive an extra ticket for
the bar tab. Also wear your
nametag to every club
function. This helps our
members get to know each
other and also gives you an
extra ticket for the $25 Bar
Certificate. If you have lost
your nametag, we’ll be
happy to order you another
one for $3.
RENEW YOUR
MEMBERSHIP
It is that time of year again. It
is time to renew your
membership for the 2015 year.
Membership fee of $25 per
person will remain the same as
last year. Don’t miss out on all
the club has to offer. Use the
Membership Form attached
and either mail in your
renewal or give it to any board
member. If you are a new
member and renew at the
Christmas party you do not
have to pay the $15 guest fee.
